Vinyl & Cassette to USB

Found this little item on Amazon UK, presume same or similar is available elsewhere, if you have a deck or cassette player it looks like it should do the job, cheaper than a USB deck anyway!

Worth looking round some of the second hand or "Cash Recycle" / "Cash Converter" places (read modern type pawnbroker). I found my Technics transcription deck for £15, needed a new stylus otherwise perfect.

Mike, I bought one of these a few years ago and have used it quite successfully. It also transfers VHS to DVD although the quality is not brilliant. It entails a bit of f*****g about to set it up but in my opinion is good value for money. I have transfered several records from my vinyl collection and intend to do some more (when I have time).

I brought an Easycap two years ago to transfer some of my train VHS and as I told Mike it captured the Video perfectly but failed completely with the audio, it only cost NZ$11 so no harm done but a crap product.

Hope you sent it back Colin. I personally hate buying things which don't perform properly

So somewhere in Africa, in a straw hut, is a poor man wondering what the hell sort of necklace it is?

I donated it to oxfam.

Ahah !!! So you're the one who's doing that. I work one day a week in a local charity shop ... we get lots of 'junk' like that - at least I know where it is coming from now ....

Never thought about the necklace idea ... next time I'll add those gizmos to the jewelry case ... fantastic idea :smirk: ... and it will mystify the elderly ladies who work in that department. Hah!!

This could be the start of something big Lars. Remember, you read it here first.
