Rare rock videos

New thread as I see more and more old rare footage is being posted online.

Here is one to start. Original Fleetwood Mac looking like an out-take from Austin Powers Movie

I'm getting a little excited seeing those old Les Pauls and Fender Showman amps.
This is a little strange, remembering the guitar driven instrumentals more than the pop songs.
And don't get me wrong, but compared to the r'n'b bands coming over from Buffalo and American Niagara Falls,
these guys are mellow with no harmonies, horns, and they aren't dancing around.

Aaah, those authentic disco days, not Austin Powers style cues,
when club owners thought that just because the wattage of their new sound systems was as loud as the band's,
they could go without musicians, and it became cocaine instead of cover charges.
I survived the grunge era by not getting involved.

Yeah! I'm upping you with Gary U.S. Bonds, from Buffalo.

and Grant Smith and the Power. A local guitarist friend of mine was in this band for a while.
sorry about no live video, none available.

While watching Black Magic Woman the photo started shape-shifting,
and just after the band broke into a more uptempo beat,
it went black, showing "an error occurred, please try again later"
I went to get a Canadian band and the sound wouldn't shut off until the end.
I like me doing Black Magic Woman way better.

George Olliver played our high school when this song was out in the late sixties,
still going strong, a video of him doing it three years ago.

The Guess Who, late sixties.

Their manager came to our high school and the art teacher recommended me,
so I got to draw psychedelic posters for the event and got free tickets,
but my parents thought I was too young to go. They were always right.

Eddie, I'm not kidding you, verily, I'm not kidding you,
but I like me singing and playing electric guitar better than most others,
and most others usually say the same thing about me,
not that I embody the rock star attitude, on or offstage.
Can you imagine Black Magic Woman, learned offa a Santana album,
juiced up with sounds from Mahavishnu Orchestra guitars and keys,
with additional riffing thinking what would Jimi Hendrix play.
And on a good night, feeling a little Nicolo Paganini.

I'm going to get a recoded version of my inventive guitar video,
the semi-solid-body,
so I can use it online and put it up just for you.
Not just so you can see what bad things I do with 60's Stratocaster parts,
but so you can see what kind of upgrades I can give that design.
I'm refinishing it and getting ready to hit the world around me again,
and posting on Magle.dk is my international debut.

Hey! Why not do the whole guitar building thread thing?
I'll take some photos myself and show it before it's back together.
There are beams of wood over 4,000 years old in some Egyptian ruins,
and some of that as inlay is all that is missing from my guitar.

George Olliver singing "Loveitis" is worth the watch,
especially in the middle when he gets into some stage moves.
He's in his late sixties now, and doing more than just good.

I just finished making two new threads in the musical instruments forum,
illustrating my invention and my new beater Strat.
I gotta feel alive online to feel like a contemporary player today.
And somebody hasta do good things to a bad Stratocaster.

Peter Green singing Need Your Love So Bad was partly responsible for the birth ( or should I say conception) of my second daughter. With a little assistance from Paul Gambaccini, one of the best DJs of all time
