‘Sleeping With Fractals’ is the first album from ONTOFIELD which deserves a lot of attention. How do I start to describe this prog-masterpiece? Well. If you are looking for a new outfit with a fresh innovative approach, then search no longer. Ontofield has arrived! If you appreciate the likes of Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, 10 cc, Marillion (Fish era), Pendragon, Transatlantic, RPWL, Morphelia and Frost, then you should find much to enjoy in John Graham’s musical performance. It contains over an hour of eclectic charm and ranges from numerous pieces of sublime fragility to harder hitting sections. Fabulous synths intertwined with quirky rhythm section and concise cello. Agile guitar style can remind of Steve Vai. On the whole content is fairy enticing yet explosive, mixed with various sound effects. This CD combines exceptionally coherent songwriting with engrossing lyrics. The smooth vocals add some extra flavour. And I’d say that ‘Sleeping With Fractals’ has an inexplicable attraction, which makes you play it over and over again… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :)

Another interesting fact for this debut release is that none other than Andy Jackson took care of the mastering. Mr. Jackson came to fame for his previous work with Strawbs, The Boomtown Rats (mixed their smash hit ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’), Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Pink Floyd ('The Division Bell') among others... :)
