A woman from New Zealand just won the Canadian tennis open in Toronto.
I think she had an oriental sounding name.
A lot of us in NZ have peculiar sounding names.
Who's Fonterra?
Is he another New Zealander who isn't making a play for Canadian tarsands oil?

You cheeky young rascal :D Fonterra is a NZ Dairy exporting company it has 30% of the world market and has been in the news for a botulism scare which proved to be untrue but unfortunately did our reputation a lot of harm.

The reason I didn't read about that is probably because of the Cronut illness at the Toronto Canadian National Exhibition, the CNE.
The Cronut, the sensational new food treat, is a deep-fried combination croissant and donut, $19.
It wasn't the fried bacon bits burger, the bacon flecked bun, the peameal bacon slices, or the bacon fat.
It was the maple bacon syrup that was tainted, with over 200 hospitalized.

I forget the name of the Italian company that was involved in scandalous foreign financial activity,
a few years ago, named after the city it originated in,
but that's the biggest and sometimes only foreign dairy product around here.
I'd get an extra kick if I was buying something from New Zealand.
Kiwis went from none to everyone having some, that's nice.

On her return from New York my daughter introduced us to pancakes with bacon and Maple syrup. A suprisingly good combination.

It's still hard for me to believe I can buy unpasteurized buckwheat honey cheaper than maple syrup.
I was cutting up some hard peaches and dipping them in that, really nice.
