Well, I am Jon, I'm 19 and I come from Manchester in the UK. I don't play any instruments

but my interest in this area of music developed massively in accompanying a friend of mine as he went from newcomer to Grade 8 pianist over the last decade, I've been all over the country with him during his learning curve, to places such as the Royal Academny of Music in London etc.

I'm a huge fan of the genre now, more than any other type, so I hope I can indulge in my passions with you all

I'm a student, studying English Language, in the hope to eventually go onto teaching it abroad- so, to earn my money I work part time for Manchester United Football Club as a catering assistant

I like technology, run a small website and use the internet of course, alot...

Hi my name is Ted. I have played many instruments, though none spectacularly, including piano, organ, trumpet, highland drums and tympani. I really enjoy the accomplished musicians.

Oh! I've got two things right away to say to this newest member.
First, do you know the difference between Proper English and Common English?

The second is what teaching English overseas means to men and women around here,
in the Niagara Peninsula, southern Ontario, what some call Northern New York.
If you're in the orient and start doing the plentiful and inexpensive narcotics,
when you no longer function as an English teacher and are found unconscious in public,
their very polite society will detain you and pay for your air fare back home.
If you have a degree in economics they like you the best.
They will also hire the wife of an economics graduate just to get you there,
even if she has no teaching qualifications or degree of any kind.

In South Korea, English teachers live in a compound of reed huts,
having no electricity, just a cooking oven in the center of the room.
If you look at Google satellite to see North Vietnam,
you'll see why there are no schools there or anyone to teach.

Hi, Jon - I wonder where you are now, and whether you did go on to teach abroad.
I hope you are well and still enjoying your music.
