Hi, CD. In no way do I imply or believe that your motivation/position on this issue is due to you being racially biased. However, I'm afraid I can't say the same for a lot of the Tea Party and their right-wing supporters who gathered in Washington D.C. to "protest" the shutdown, which in my view was foisted on this country by these people in order to force a "nullification"-- so to speak--of a law {Obamacare}, which has been duly voted on by the U.S. Supreme Court and the American people, who re-elected our president by a resounding margin. People of the ilk of Cruz, Limbaugh etc., etc., have made it quite clear that they are willing to do anything in order to make this man and his policies a failure, even if it means dragging down America along with him. If he fails, America fails. Remember that as a result of the last shutdown, this country--for the first time in history--lost its Triple A credit rating. I also recall Sarah Palin--in a blatant attempt to discredit Obamacare--telling voters around the country that the proposed law contains "death panels" who would be able to decide the fates of peoples' elderly parents and other such utter nonsense.
Anyway, when I find myself actually starting to sympathize with Mitch McConnell and John Boehner as being the reasonable voices of the GOP {along with McCain, whom I actually like anyway}, that is quite a scary day for me, believe you me!
