Gosh yes ... way too premature. In the US we have Thanksgiving Day Holiday this coming Thursday ... I too feel some are pushing Xmas to soon, and should never be out or up until after the Thanksgiving turkey has been gobbled ... ... up.

Gobble Gobble ...

I agree Lars...except for when I was choirmaster-organist then I started music in Sept as I had a Choral concert and 3 services with one being a High Liturgical MidNight, Episcopal

I think it is too early. Nothing like that until at least December the 1st. We do not usually put up the tree until the 17th of December as my youngest has her birthday on the 16th. This helps separate the two occasions, although we do start decorating the house before then. Christmas in November? Yuck.

Xmas is for the kids! as long as I can eat, drink and be merry I couldn't give an unripe fig.

Come to think of it, I haven't spent a Xmas Eve at home since I was 12 years old  - always in church playing services.

Still a kid at heart though, just the old creaky bones and joints keep reminding me otherwise.

I believe Christmas helps you relive your childhood. I love Christmas dinner. Probably my favourite meal. And I still believe in Father Christmas.
