First rose of Summer?

About 2 weeks earlier than my previous recorded "first rose" I couldn't get a full frontal shot 'cos it's about 8 feet up, and no way to get a ladder in position.

For those photographically inclined taken with Minolta 5D, Minolta 80-200 f2
.8 lens, exposure 1/1000 @ f13.

Excellent .Love the color. Only blooms I have were Daffodils, my blackberry and blueberry bushes are blooming well now and Azaleas... Love Spring anyway as well as Fall time for flowers and foliage.

Already had our first rose about three weeks ago. The weeds are doing quite well also.

Beautiful rose, Mike ...

No flowers here yet ... just lots of brown dead weeds ...

Lovely...

It's been a looong winter this year around here. The snow is mostly melted except for the huge mounds piled up in shopping centre parking lots. We've got crocuses blooming now, yellow, white and purple. The tulips are coming up nicely, blooms in the next week or two. So much beauty to appreciate. :)

Managed to cut the grass the other day but it took me ages. Weeds are still doing well, so I have bought some weed killer!!!!!!

Spray the lot with whisky and it will come up half cut.

No, I refuse to waste it. Not had a drink now for about two months. Can't face it. Now you know how bad things are
