How many roads must a man walk down ... ... before he admits he's lost?
Beautiful work ... I love all these Magnificats.
Our church choir is presenting the Vivaldi Magnificat on the third Sunday in Advent during the morning worship service. We are using strings and the organ playing the continuo part.
In the Church of England the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittus are (or were when I was in church choirs) part of the evensong, at matins we sang the Te Deum and Jubilate Deo; all usually sung to Anglican chant as were the psalms in smaller parish services, larger churches would use different settings each week but still use chants for the psalms as this example

I absolutely loved attending Evensong when we were in London. St. Paul's & Westminster Abbey which on both occasions I got to sit in the Quire. Absolutely thrilling and very spiritual.
