Silly me, now I realise who you're speaking about ... I'm such a dill. Well, I much prefer the English spelling (for a moment, I thought you were discussing a little know Pole)!!

Yup, I meant Tchaikovsky from the very beginning... Szopen also might be a bit confusing, I reckon.

Jean Sibelius - 6th symphony in d minor. Lahti Symphony Orchestra/Osmo Vanska.

For those of you who use Sibelius (software), last bars of 2nd movement might sound quite familiar.

Mat, I have a few Sibelius performed by the same orch they are IMO among the best + some very rare stuff and the recording quality is fabulous, when I am allowed I have it very very loud as you do for classical and you would swear you were in the hall

Hey Colin, I have a 15 CD Sibelius Essential. It consists of symphonies, string quartets, piano music, violin concerto and much more. Lahti SO with Vanska and Gothenburg SO with Neeme Jarvi are some of the performers. THat's a lot of well-played music. I've still not gone through all of these recordings, TBH...

Hey Steve, do I guess right that you prefer neoromantic repertoire?
