    Richter of Preston?

I have the Handel Op 7 organ concertos on my playlists by Richter, and today had a listen to Simon Preston's recording of Op7 N0 4 I was surprised to hear far more wind instruments in the Preston version with Pinnock fronting the English Concert, whereas Richter has the strings predominating.

I think I prefer the Richter, possibly because I am more familiar with it, any comments from the professionals? Is one version more correct than the other, how did Handel score it?

Both are here on Youtube to help your ponderings
    Cheers MIKE.

I prefer Ton Koopman. He makes the pieces alive. Such joy of music!
