On The Buses, etc.

Just lately out of nostalgia , I have been watching the old comedy classic, On The Buses, I think I must have been through all of them thrice over now. Also, been through, Last of the Summer Wine, another favourite. I don't have a telly now , I watch them on Youtube.
Anyone else have old British comedy favourites?

Apologies to our American friends if you don't know these old British shows, but as far as old American comedies I liked , the Carol Burnett show, and Archie Bunker, those two come to mind. Sadly, We don't seem to get quality shows anymore.

One foot in the grave, Benny Hill and Faulty Towers, I have been watching Benny Hill via Sky and am amazed at the sexual content, which just would not be allowed in today's PC climate but there was no swearing which seems to be all over the media today, have we got our values messed up.

As for Carol Burnett and Archie Bunker, those are two of my most favorite old time shows. We can catch some of Archie Bunker on an over the air channel but each episode is severely cut in content to make room for a plethora of commercials (2 minutes of show, 6 minutes of commercial, ad nauseam) which is why I seldom watch over the air TV, with the exception of PBS stations.

I still enjoy the older radio shows, some of the BBC Sunday lunchtime series like Beyond our Ken, Round the Horne, Navy lark etc, and also the Goon show, Hancocks half hour, Yes Minister and many others most of them are rerun on BBC Radio 4 extra, not sure if that is available outside UK, an episode of the Goon show is on Friday. They're repeated 3 times during the day most days 2 comedy shows.

I used to watch Archie Bunker it was a great show.
