I must admit, AeonSatori is one of my major discoveries for some last years. Their music provides an utterly enthralling journey with introspective themes, the tempo changes, epic grandeur of compositions, variety of melodies, the thought provoking lyrics and gorgeous vocal parts. This LA-based group recreates a flavour of classic symphonic prog-rock style, albeit showcasing distinctly original trademark.

Plans are already underway for the first full-length album, which will incorporate the previously laid foundation, rearranged songs from their previous EP's, along with the new material...

That's an essential information about the band's name:

Aeon: The word aeon, also spelled eon or æon (English pronunciation: /ˈiːɒn/), originally means 'life', and/or 'being', though it then tended to mean 'age', 'forever' or 'for eternity'.

Satori (悟り?) (Chinese: 悟; pinyin: wù; Korean 오; Vietnamese ngộ) is a Japanese Buddhist term for enlightenment that literally means 'understanding'. In the Zen Buddhist tradition, satori refers to a flash of sudden awareness, or individual enlightenment, and is considered a 'first step' or embarkation toward nirvana.

Wow, it is not often that I hear a band that takes me to such musical vistas as this band. Thank you so much Prog Head for your fine description of the music and tone that this certain to be noticed prog band has so far created. Thank goodness this type of prog is still stirring and offering new bounds to our imagination! Hope many others discover this treasure for sure!

Welcome, ProgPuppy. :)

Btw, AeonSatori are currently working on a beautiful and haunting song called 'Miracle' (around 12 mins) which should round out and balance the mood of the future album in a great way. This is a sympho- orchestrated piece reminding of old Genesis.
