KARNATAKA are pleased to announce the new lead vocalist - Sertari who's Anglo-Cypriot singer-songwriter.

Sertari.jpg

Ian Jones and cohorts (Gonzalo Carrera ~ keyboards, Fillipo Galli ~ drums &percussion, Luke Machin ~ guitars) love the way she interpreted the old material, respecting the original versions whilst adding her own feel and emotion, sprinkling the sound with that extra bit of magic. It is very obvious that she will be a perfect match for the band.

KANSAS is excited to announce keyboardist Tom Brislin as the newest member of the band.
An internationally acclaimed musician, Brislin has performed and toured with a variety of artists, including Yes (appearing on Symphonic Live), Camel, Renaissance, Dennis DeYoung formerly of Styx, and many others. Most recently, Tom Brislin co-founded the progressive rock group The Sea Within. Along with guitarist Roine Stolt of The Flower Kings, bassist Jonas Reingold of the Steve Hackett band, and drum star Marco Minnemann, they released their first album in 2018 on Sony/Inside Out Music, joining KANSAS on the label’s roster.
KANSAS original member and drummer, Phil Ehart comments, “We are extremely excited for Tom Brislin to be the newest member of KANSAS. His background speaks for itself, and we are looking forward to working with him. We cannot wait to get started, and think KANSAS fans will really enjoy what Tom brings to the band.”
Brislin adds, “It’s an honor to be asked to join a such legendary band as KANSAS. Their music has been in the soundtrack to so many of our lives, and their repertoire has enduring depth, beauty, and power. I’m thrilled to perform the classics and I’m equally excited to be a part of the new music that KANSAS creates.”
Brislin’s first performances with KANSAS will be aboard the Rock Legends Cruise in February, followed by March 1 in Baltimore, MD at the Modell Lyric where the band will be resuming the Point of Know Return Anniversary Tour.

Hey Prog Head! I'm still waiting for some font from you, and you must be ignoring my thread about it.
I'm going to be above board here without using the interior messaging system to say something about Magle.dk.
I know you've been here longer than I have and log in to post a lot, that's for sure.
I don't know if you look around further than your own postings,
but I've been seeing a lot of comments about how slow these forums are with a member saying it's dying.
If people are just seeing different members posting about their own interests, and I do that too,
that's not really a way to attract new members who up to now are just viewing, and there's a lot of them.
If they saw how members could interact between themselves, their music and careers,
within the framework of these threads, being a community of commenters, that would be more interesting.
It's the fact that I've always liked jazz and classical that brought me here,
even if my career was as a rock, hard rock and country-pop guitarist.

I'm not saying we should try to play off each other in a stressful way, when I can fling the font,
or get some of my vowels stuck in your throat, and I don't want you to injure your fingers typing too hard,
but hey, how about answering my question, as confrontational as it's going to be.
I'll tell you right now, seeing how you type about progressive rock bands, at least what's progressive for you,
you're going to last longer than me and come out on top, unless I start a new-style progressive rock band myself.
But I'm too lazy to do that.

KANSAS! When they sang "Carry On My Wayward Son", I didn't think they meant keeping it going into 2019.
Oh! This is so 70's for me.

March 2019 brings the new album by DAVID PATON (Pilot and The Alan Parsons Project fame). Entitled 'The Traveller: Another Pilot Project', it showcases a singer, musician, and producer, as David reimagines 11 classic tunes from THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT. Not only does the album feature David’s great vocals and bass, it also highlights his musicianship as he plays guitar and all other instruments. The album includes a dazzling duet by David and his daughter Sadie on 'Some Other Time'. Sadie’s stunning vocals can also be heard on 'If I Could Change Your Mind', which also features Dave Stewart on drums. 'The Cask of Amontillado' is a special treat as it features a new guitar solo by Dave Bainbridge (LifeSigns, Strawbs, and Iona).

The album is available as a download (March 17th) and a limited edition CD digipak (March 24th).

DeYoung is confident that fans will find a lot to love when they finally get a chance to hear the new album. “If they're honest with themselves, if they were truly Styx fans, they're gonna like it,” he says. “That's my goal and I know I'm gonna accomplish it, because I'm sitting here listening to 12 tracks already that go, ‘Well, that's gonna make these people happy.’
