Hi everyone!

This is why magle.dk is the only music forums I have visited in over five years,
and why I like to post here.
First, it must be nice for Frederik Magle and his friends, having these forums,
and the private messaging system, to stay in touch as they travel around the world.
I shouldn't even mention the haters and negators you find in American forums,
because everyone here is polite and informative, if not personal, without a whiff of predatory conduct.

I must agree with you about that aspect you mentioned. Everybody here seems to be very into music and with a positive attitude towards it.

John, sorry for shortening your messages but I really wanted to highlight this part.

alcaponedudu, you don't have to apologize to me about "shortening your messages",
and if I could remember my first replies and where they were, I would have some proof.
When members would be copying my posting and then commenting under it,
I would say that's a waste of bandwidth and a domain waste of electricity.
But using a section is an easier way than quoting, re-typing out the line yourself.

Even here in the Niagara Peninsula, predatory conduct is so ordinary.
Kijiji, that free buy and sell domain, has to delete sections every once in a while,
because most of the ads are from sexual predators.
Here in Welland, that others think of as the city where the drugs come from,
I always give a reply to ads about looking for a guitarist or musicians wanting to start a band,
but for the last five years, nothing has happened.
Twice, I got invited to someones' house, but a half-naked, total stoner and his girlfriend,
answered the door, and I never got inside.

A friend of mine wrote a university thesis after studying different North American cities in Kijiji,
to see the numbers about musical instruments and musicians and artists.
If you want to look at Scotland, it's called Gumtree, and in England it's Eggslist.
Both were formerly owned by Kijiji.
Here in Ontario, Kijiji is now owned by a Toronto company.

I'm getting short on you right now, having a long and tiring day, hard labour.
What was musical about it was me not singing, but just listening,
as this man from India sang as he drove us back and forth to the dump, twice,
emptying out a second story apartment he owns and getting bulk buckets of paint and plaster.
He's a northern Indian of Egyptian descent, if you can imagine a gypsy Indian.

All of my typing with you has been making me feel like the elder musician, that's for sure,
and it's making me think I should be doing what I did when I first started out.
I always had a harmonica, something I could play no matter where I was.
Now, I'd want a chromatic to be jazzy, but it would be a fun thing to do.

I had a chance to buy a Bell miniature key-chain digital camera, new, in the packaging.
253 photos, a few seconds for videos, with a cord to plug it into a computer or device.
Even if it was just $4, I said no. I've got three nice cameras that came my way, that I rarely use.

Okay, and I'm only doing this to see what your comments can be.
I did grow some late-night You Tubers, videos I could use for "General Rock Guitar" and "Progressive Rock Guitarist".
Oh yeah... I can play on both sides of those stages.

I did everything wrong about making a video that I could do.
You can't see my face or fingers, and I'm using a wrecked guitar with bad intonation.
I'm playing in the dark while I'm laying down, far from the camera microphone.
And just as I type too much, I talk too much.

But, I play a steady four-four rock beat on the bass E string without stopping once.
I tap my finger and let my fingers hit to make a beat with some percussive elements.
I play a theme and build with chords, not finger-picking, not being on the beat,
but trying to sound orchestral, moving chords.
I get a harmonic happening that sounds like a pick on metal,
and when I'm trying to get that to sound like it's repeating very fast,
the pick flies out of my fingers and I say I dropped the pick.
When I watched it, I called it "I Dropped a Pick".

That could also be a radio DJ saying he's playing a hot new favorite.
This is in the afternoon, the light coming through a bottom window,
not the mood lighting this old illuminated sign builder made for night.
When I move in front of the window light, the searching camera changes focus.
That made it look like Jimis' hands were moving out, before You Tube edited it.
And I'm imitating someone, not talking as my usual self.

Now, it's definitely your turn.
