Hello John. Thanks for the invitation. It would be a pleasure to meet you in person some day. And would be awesome aswell to visit your country.

Nice observation you made about Elvis getting the best musicians around to create that ''magic''. Yes, I agree with you but there's something else. There's an element that only Elvis could bring to the table and if I knew what it was I'd be a millionaire by now. He had an amazing voice that could transport you to the exactly place or theme he would be singin about.

I think I haven't told you about a song I wrote about Elvis. There's a line where I compare his singing to ''walking in a velvet room''. I don't know why but this is one of the very first things that come to mind when I think about him. I guess his pipes was covered in velvet. That must be it. Or could it be his elegance? I could spend a whole day talking about Elvis. He only brings joy to my ears. You will hear this song one day. This song has elements of horns, big band stuff. I tried to emulate with the resources I have today. But the song is much bigger than I can do right now. Really proud of it.

Nice to know you're such a good singer. It would be a pleasure to listen to it any day you want.

Hi John. Sorry for taking too long to answer you. We had a big holiday here in Brazil. Independence day.

I didn't think of Fred Astaire that way you told me. But I will definitely check it out. He was always ''a very good dancer'' for me.

About the other thread I created is because I did not want to mix with this one. The other song is really about Elvis. Very specific subject. Our conversation about him encouraged me to post it. Hope you will like it.

Wow, John! What a great story. I was worried though about what they are going to do with you in this ''treatment''. You should be careful, my friend.

There was a funny thing reading you talk about the Niagara Falls. Last saturday I watched a movie called ''Vegeance''. The most famous actor is Nicholas Cage. This film takes place in the Niagara Falls. But I guess it's on the US side. You should check it out. I liked it. There's too much violence though. I don't know if you need that right now.

About the Elvis' thread... it was a pleasure dedicating it to you. You played a very important role in my decision to post it.

Life goes on, John. Thank God. Writing a lot. Right now, I'm working on three diferent songs. It's crazy but fun aswell. The good part is that I'm doing all of it because I want to. It has become a big part in my life ever since I wrote ''On My Way To You''.

Hello my dear friend John. I'm glad to know you're getting better. I was worried about you (like Mick Jagger says). Really!

That was a beatiful portrait of your mother. She seemed to be a very classy and elegant woman. People really used to portrait themselves. That's nice to see. Today we don't have it anymore. It's just throw away photos most of the times.

Your photos... very good, John. You always inspires me unintentionally I guess. Your stories and the way you write always giving good arguments to base your opinion upon. I really wish you well. So you can recover very fast and get back to your daily routine.

What about playing your guitar? Do they let you do it?

My dear friend Jonh! How nice it's to hear from and see that everything is ok. What a relief!

I went through the files and can count on me on that matter. It sound like everybody is really giving you a hard time. I was so sorry to hear about your brother.

But let's talk about good things... The weekend is here and it's time for a good time! (Ha!)

I'm getting a lot of good reviews about the song ''The Boy From Memphis''. That's cool although I do not seek for that. Been playing a lot. Now I got back to the piano. It's time to develop some songs that really ask for it. That's so good. Sitting there and just playing. I forget about all the daylife stuff and connect to myself, to my music, to my soul actually.

This year I will put out another song in demo status. I'm not sure which one yet but I'll get there. My songs need to get heard by people I came to conclusion. I tend to keep a a lot to myself. I'm working on it. If you lived here you would be very welcome to join Delicious Grace for a recording session.

    Take care, my friend!

Hello my dear friend John! I was so glad to see you in a good shape and mood. That was the best feeling I could get.

What an honor to be mentioned in your video. That was hard to pronaunce my name, wasn’t it? When I was living in England everybody just called me Eddie. That was easier for them. Though I don’t like it very much. In Brazil a nickname for Eduardo is either Dudu or Edu.

Thank you for those lessions. You really know what you’re talking about. Great job! I’m not that technical but I could absorve a lot. I prefer when you play songs though. It’s always easier to learn doing the real suttf. I’m not into exercises, repetitions, etc. My goal is always create a sound, a melody or something that can lead into a song.

I was watching a interview the other day with Paul McCartney and he said something like that. He’ s not even expert in reading music. He just knows enough to create good music. I can relate to that.

What a cool piece of article you’ve got. Man, that was awesome! You looked very cool in that panther-tiger-type-of-trousers. I wonder what you setlist was back then. I didn’t know you were a leadsinger. Whenever I talk about you I see you more of guitarplayer than anything.

In resume you did a very good job and I really liked it. Keep bring those videos out! That’s a good outlet for you. In the third or so video I could noticed that you were more relaxed and playing with more flow. I know it’s hard to be in front of a camera but you’ve made it! Congrats, my friend.

Hello John. How are you, my friend?

I liked your style! I had already noticed while watching those videos.

What I to tell you about is that you should not worry about playing with my songs. It has to come naturally. It would be awesome but it can wait. Don't let the pressure come in. I find the online thing a good thing for us, John. We have the liberty to do whatever we want and explore as we please. You and everybody (myself included) just need to find a proper way to do it.

We, for example, wouldn't have met each other if it wasn't for this outlet here. What I think is that a lot of people are producing bad content for internet. But a lot are doing good things. The ones who believe truly in what they are doing music-wise. I want and hope to be on that side.

You play very well and I wish to hear and watch you more. Maybe an original song? Just saying...

    Have a good weekend, John!

Hello my dear friend John. Sorry for taking so long to answer. I've been really busy lately. Nice to know that everything is ok with you.

Loved the story you bought yourself a mask. That's really cool. There's a guitar player named Buckethead. Have you ever heard of him? If you haven't, please check it out. He plays like a maniac. It's not my cup of tea but I like him anyway. He uses a white mask and a KFC bucket on his head! I would like to know your take regarding his playing.

This weekend we're having presidential election here in Brazil. Everydody's going nuts. The most likely scenario is going to be between and ex-army member vs a left-wing candidate. For me it’s the worst scenario. My candidate is running in fourth place today. Don’t know if he’s going to make it.

But we’re not for this kind of **. We’re here to celebrate a greater cause: music! Maybe this was your best video so far. I liked what you played especially when you got more distortion and gain.

Your way and style of playing is really diferent than mine and all my influences. That’s awesome. I get to learn and experience new things as I’m watching you.

Hi John. How are you, my friend? Crazy weekend over here with all the things going on regarding the elections.

What a nice video you’ve just made. You’re right about you sounding too loud compared to the music going on in the back. But that’s not a problem right now. You’ll find a way to get it more balanced. I didn’t know this song.

You reminded me a lot of Carlos Santana on this one. Really a surprise. I had never had this feeling with the other videos. Is it your real sound? Santana is a great player. Some of his songs are amazing.

How was your weekend, mister Watt?

Hello John. Good to know about your weekend. And I'm glad everything is ok with you.

You're very aware what's going on over here. The far-right candidate is running at number one now. We are going for round two (we called it here after the first round any of the candidates couldn't reach a majority of 50% + 1 voters).

I've got some news regarding Delicious Grace for you: We might add a singer to the project. I've been considering it for a long time. It's just a matter now of finding the right person and get the thing going. We've got someone under our radar. The guy sings with passion and have Rock N' Roll in his heart. I don't know yet if he's going to be the one.

That's going to be funny to experience my music being singing by someone else. I've been the only one doing it since day one.

Hi John. How are you, my friend? Glad to know you're busy doing good things. I'm really curious about how you guitar will look like when it's ready.

Last week I had to do a little dentist procedure. Got some stitches in my mouth that's why I was away. All I was allowed to do was rest. But now I'm fine and ready to go.

I understood you concern about the new singer situation. But it will not change a thing, John. The plan is to continue the same as we are right now: I will keep writing stuff on my own terms and producing. What I'm looking for is a more professional approach to the singing department. I'm not a singer and never wanted to be. I just sing my songs because that's the only way we could find so far. I did the best I could but now is time to take it to another level. If it doesn't work out I'll be back to this task immediately. Don't worry, my friend.

I wish you were here so you could join us. DG feat. JW! How cool is that?!

This girl on the video is a maniac. I had watched something about her a while ago. She really got it.

Tell me about you. Is there a new video on the way?

Laughing a lot about your comment: ''Looking for a singer is adding some soap opera to your life.'' It might be, my friend, but I've got to take all my chances, you know. I think it's for it. I'll let you know as soon as there is some conclusion about this situation.

John, I wrote an instrumental piece on the guitar that sounds promising. I wrote it with brazilian singer/songwriter Alceu Valença in mind. I went to his concert last months and it probably had an inconscious thing to it. Big fan of his work. I think you would like him.

So, I had a feeling and I started to play and this song just came about. There's no definitive title yet but it will probably be in portuguese. Not sure yet if it will be on acoustic or electric-guitar. I've already tried and sounds good in both of them.

Other than that everything is fine over here thank God, my friend. Hope you're doing ok aswell.

    Have a good weekend, John!

John Watt! How are you, my friend? Nice to see you're doing alright. Very good news about your contact with that bassist player. It really sounds promising.

About the song I told it's instrumental so there's no portuguese/english dilema. What I said was just about the title. But I think it will not have lyrics. Never say never though. Something might hit me and I start writing all of a sudden. Who knows?!

Alceu is a very perfectionist musician. He's notorious for it. The press doesn't really like him and some people too because he's very into his art. I don't know what happened in that video. This guy really got his thing together with a career of more than 40 years. He's very known aswell as a big carnaval feature. He's got a show specific designed for it. He does this thing around february or march (depending on the year) and then just disappears. The guy is a legend.

Tomorrow we're going to cut another demo. This one got a huge radio potential in my opinion. Easy melody and all that stuff. I didn't plan it but it happened. The content of the lyrics might be a problem and you will understand when it eventually sees the light of the day.

Hello John. How are you, my friend? It's been quite a long time. A lot of things happened in between the last we chatted. I was on a mini-vacation from work. Went to the south of Brazil for a little of peace and tranquility. My girlfriend was there aswell so it was all great. I'm all charged up now! Ha!

Glad to hear from you. I missed our weekly conversation.

Yes, I do know this band you've mentioned. That's a Jobim's song, I believe. One of our greatest composers ever.

I was watching the news the other day and I saw that in Canada marijuana is totally legal, is that right? What is your take on that, John? I'm asking you this because you seem to have a very good social perception.

How's your playing going? Do not forget music, my friend!
