is playing guitar is good for your mental health?

We see playing guitar as a form of mindful escapism, a way to create space between an individual and their busy mind. Guitar-playing is beneficial to your overall well-being and mental health in other ways, too, including helping you develop a greater sense of personal achievement.

    What you say about this?

Playing any musical instrument, imho, is great for your mental health.

In my case, being a professional musician, music is my gyroscope ... it keeps me from losing my sanity, and yet is able to calm my heart and soul at the same time.

When completely out of sorts I will listed to the organ works of Messiaen.

Amateur musicians practice until they get it right ...
fessional musicians practice until they can't get it wrong ...

Guitar Playing is Good for Mental Health

I agree with Krummhorn. Playing any instrument is good for mental health. In fact, even singing is good too but playing a musical instrument has greater results.

One thing I wish to add, though, is that one has to learn the fundamentals for proper skill development and to avoid physical problems such as tendonitis, bad back etc.

So one shouldn't fret. Guitar playing is good.
