Hi. I was surfing around researching church organs for our church and came across your forum. It has been a delight to look around and I will undoubtably be bothering people from this Southern tip of the continent.
I was brought up on the organ seat (falling asleep on many occasions) and have thouroughly enjoyed registering organs for my mother (a pianist by training and organist by church necessity) for almost as long as I can remember. As the son of an Anglican missionary in South America I have sat through innumerable services, weddings and funerals, and learnt to love the sound as well as singing (sadly not playing myself (yet ))
Being a practical man, taking organs apart (in an earthquake country) was an addition to his normal ministers job, so little me enjoyed hours and hours of taking the poor organs apart with dad, trying to solve the wheezes and coughs of organs little cared for and battered by the elements with the limited resources available.
Enough about me and great to be here.
