• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

    Many kind regards

Mr. Magle, may I also say a heart felt Thank You!

Thank you so much for the download. I am not a musician and I don't have any training in the art and science of music. I only know that this piece must be especially tough, technically and artistically. My wife and son have studied music, and my son's birthday falls on Hallowe'en. This piece is one of my favorites among every type and genre, and it holds a special place at this holiday.

You're very kind to share your art with us.
I'll pass the site information along to my son -- I imagine you'll soon have new members.

As a Polio survivor, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to play such music.

Thank you for sharing with those of us who cannot.

Ipod??

Has anyone has this on their Ipod? I have tried Itunes and found Magle's works but cannot see Bach's famous piece. Also in many different countries may have their own limitations too. LOL Maybe open an account in Vienna.

Sir,
In one day I have discovered you, a trouser rippling rendition of the Toccata and fugue, and the magnificent insrument in Rija Cathedral. If I discover nothing else i will be happy. What a beautiful sound, plumbed through my computer sound system, the bass end made the double glazing rattle. My next goal is to visit Rija and hopefully hear live that wonderful sound, hopefully with you at the helm.

thankyou

I like your performance, thanks.?
What are the possibilities to use the recording for a video?
Hello, yes, generally I'm very open to my music and recordings, such as this, being used in videos, and aside from larger commercial projects I usually allow it for free as long as I'm credited - for example like this: "J.S.Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D-minor, BWV 565, performed by Frederik Magle".

But please contact me and let me know what video you would like to use the recording.
