Gnarls Barkley - Crazy

This song has been very popular this summer; I`m just wondering what people here think of it. I like it!

Yeah, though I heard about it first from a friend of mine long before the craze started and I started hearing it everywhere- it does stick, and it never gets boring.

(And you can sing along without really knowing the words. ;) )

Man, at the start when I was first hearing it in stores and on radios I absolutely dreaded it. I just couldn't get over how it slurs the word "crazy". It got on my nerves.
But one time in art I was playing with clay and it came on and a sudden liking of the song came. Haha, I have no idea, but all I know now is that I love it! :)

I am the opposite to Basia on this one. When it first came out I thought it was fantastic for such a simple song. I really couldn't believe how people took to it here in the UK but that is marketing for you.
Must say though after a few months of constant airplay I think everyone was sick of it. Since then it seems to be rarely played but give the guy credit he has come back with other hits and isn't going to be a one hit wonder. Or so it seems.

I thought the song was really good when it first came out. It seemed to be on download only forever and I can remember wondering what the video would look like when we eventually got to see it. Must admit Mr Barkley didn't look anything like I thought he would and singing the song live I was disappointed. He seemed to find it awfully hard to reach the notes and hold them. Never mind I have seen worse!

Personally, it's my cue to leave the bar...

I can't take too much from it from a musical point of view, and perhaps the only thing it's got going for it is the fact that it is very catchy - evident by the way it caught on and became standard club/bar/nightclub music throughout the UK in no time.

I'm afraid I'll never be one for this sort of music though - I'm much too set in the Blues :)

At first I hated it. Then I heard other songs from the CD and started liking it, other songs were better though. After listening for a while I started hating it again. Thats my story.

I'm personally one for being open to any genre of music and giving it a fair chance. I hated it when I first heard it, but some of my friends and co-workers raved about how great the song was so I tried listening to it more to get a better feel for it. After listening to it for about a month, I disliked it more than when I first heard it. I don't really know what it is that I dislike, but I think it's his voice.

Strange how for me anyway it seems years since it was actually released. I guess that is more to do with it being played over and over and over! I don't think I have ever heard a track played so much and consiquently I think they made a lot of folk sick of the sound of it.
For example I heard it on the radio recently and changed the channel!

I used to hate this song until I heard the Kooks cover it on Radio 1's Live Lounge. Seek it out, it's really good.
