hey people... this is adi here... newbie on this forum, but not new to music :)

it's in the family... my folks are trained in a traditional indian style of classical music called "hindustani classical"...

i like stuff across all sorts of genres... frou frou... metallica... the great indian masters... and stuff in-between... whatever sounds good :)

my group drums each friday at a local art gallery in my town... it's open to all... like any passer by can just walk in and join our session... terrific fun ( read more at aditya athalye's personal website - drums circle page )

ever heard of the indian movie machine called "bollywood"? here are some big hit ... [link removed] taraaaaa :guitar:

cheers!

Greetings, Adi

Welcome aboard to this music forum. I was compelled to reasearch hindustani classical music form and was quite impressed by what I read in wikipedia. Guess I need to learn about frou frou and the other genre's you mentioned ... new stuff for this long time classical musician, but always open to learning about new forms of music. Thanks for sharing.
