Greetings from the Czech Republic

Hello all!

I am a Canadian-born musician, I studied music at the University of Toronto.

I graduated with a Masters degree in 2001 and promptly relocated to the Czech Republic, where music still matters. I am working with a professional orchestra in Marienbad, the West-Bohemian Symphony Orchestra (Západoceský symfonický orchestr), which is the oldest orchestra in the Czech lands, founded in 1821.

Looking forward to some good musical discussion here!

My comment was a shot at the Canadian classical music scene, which is on one hand very elitist and yet somehow manages to cater to the lowest common denominator in terms of marketing and how the industry presents itself.
