. . . Where is the hot summer the weather men said we would have?

I'll send all you want from here, Margaret

It's been in the 100s today with just as much humidity. Kentucky felt like a jungle today. judy tooley

Humidity ... fun stuff, isn't it? Here I am, heading to church at 6:30 this morning with the car A/C running. They can turn off the burners anytime now - I'm convinced beyond and shadow of a doubt that I live in the desert ... we are tired of the heat - 49 days so far of over 100°(f).

Right now, 20 minutes before tomorrow, it's 86°(f) and projected to be another scorcher over 100° on Monday.

Thank you Krummhorn, it sounds as if you could loose a few degrees. I will gladly take some off you. At the moment there is a bit of blue sky, but also a slight breeze. I will have to see what it is like when I go out.

It was fine when I went out at 9.15 this morning, by the time I got back home at 11.30 it was a light drizzle, hope it clears this afternoon, got to go out again.

Oooh ... to experience a light drizzle again ... ...
I absolutely love the rain ... keeps the car clean on the outside, too

Woopee ... a cooling trend is coming our way later this week. It's going to 'cool off' from over 100°(f) all the way down to 95°(f). Oh man, time to get out the woolen jackets for sure .

Currently, 73° and sunny ... always sunny ... too much stupid sunshine here

Hot & humid today. Plenty of sunshine. When it gets to be too much, it will be time to make good use of the air conditioner.

Thanks, Margaret :tiphat: ... that really helps. I can almost feel the cool mist from that picture. Absolutely refreshing.

We've been under a heat advisery all day. The temps got up in the
hundreds again. The air is so moist you can wring out the water.
I'm like Krummhorn, I wished it would cool down some so I can do
my walking again. It's too hot. But also here relief is on it's way.
I wonder when. I have to stay inside because it's hot under the
air conditioner. I felt like I was in a sauna when I walked to church
yesterday.

Some blue here too and for a change there is very little wind.

I'm keeping an eye on the advance weather forecast for 10-12 days time, there is a 4 day air festival scheduled that I'm hoping to photograph on at least 2 of the days, so far the advance forecast has changed from wet through dry and cloudy to bright sun, I wonder what it will be on the day??

Summer finally arrived

I have lost count, but I think we have had five days (perhaps more) without rain - and finally highs that have been over 80. The humidity has even been tolerable, but the smog *is* getting worse. One thing about this heat - it seems to have killed off most of the mosquitos. Oh yes, the tomatos are coming along just fine.

The back yard raccoon babies are now all pretty well grown up and ready for winter.

Ooh, fresh garden grown tomatoes ... those are the best.

Congratulations on achieving 'Summer' ... here in the high desert of Arizona we have two seasons: Summer ... and ... Summer

Currently, 98°(f) after a high of 101°(f) ... about the same heat on tap for tomorrow with no rain in sight for another 10 days or so.

It looks like today is goig to be stinking hot - with the emphasis on STINKING. Smog - but we may have some showers tomorrow which should clear that brown stuff overhead. Ah well. Time to go check the tomato patch.

ATB!
