yep, saudi arabia sucks... and as the sun goes down, the more humid it gets..

My wife has been there many years ago ... has said the same thing ... just totally unbearable, but the oil resources there are what keep the people I guess.

Times a changing?

It seems the spell of hot, and humid weather we have had here is coming to an end. It's now almost dark (8:19pm EDT), and the temp has dropped to 70. High today was 80. But it's not at all 'sticky' outside now. Forecast high tomorrow is about 22.

ATB!

Brrr 22! I feel sorry for you with the temps falling like that. It's been
hot today with the sun out pouring it's heat right on me. Here it's
been in the mid 80's. It's still summertime here! I got hot today
shopping.

Actually - it's now 79! But very low humidity and a brisk breeze. Very comfortable. Tonight they claim it's going to drop... Who knows? The local backyard raccoons are all ready for winter though. Fat and sassy with full fur coats. All the youngsters are almost as big as their parents. It's quite a surprise how fast they grow.

The college and university students returned to classes last week, and the rest of the youngsters will start next week. Where did summer go?

Fingers crossed for a long, warm fall season. (I hate winter).

My idea of witer and snow - start the day before Christmas, and be all gone by january 2nd.... (Wishful thinking, right)?

ATB! Rob, aka Rusty

It was 106°(f) today - no breeze - just plain boiling hot.
They can turn off the burners anytime now - :scold: - the temperature gods keep thinking they need to prove to me that I live in the desert ...

Right now, at 9:30 PM, 92°(f) and clear. Just came back from the pool.

The day started off cold, then we had some rain. Now we have a little blue sky, but all the time there has been a wind.

Just for you guys at the MIMF. Vesterhavet (The Western Sea), the way my love and I have seen this violent sea for the past four days, having long stroves at the seaside just walking, smiling romanticly to each other, hand in hand fighting the wind and laughing, while thinking I will make the warm tea when home again, while the rain has poured down like a statement of Capitol punishment from the Greek Gods and the winds of the Poseidon myth have blown any vision of a staying-no-matter-what-tent belonging to an innocent birdwatcher, far, far away.

I just love the sea and the seashore - where none of us have any power.

But back in Nørresundby today on Saturday cloudy, greyish, rainy and all to ordinary for late August, temps. around 14 C.

So, Master Krummhorn

As mentioned on earlier posts, do not forget the Wellington Boots and the always needed umbrella, when you reach for the old viking country Denmark in 2010.

That is a lovely picture Intet, but it does make me feel cold looking at it.

Here it is 19 C. Not much sunshine, we still have a cold wind. The sky looks as if it has rain.

I too love the sea. Many a weekend was spent sailing with my Dad in my youthful years, and later on his 31' boat up in Washington state. I sometimes think I was destined to be a fish ...

Yes ... the boots and an umbrella or two will be on the packing list for next summer.

Currently in the Old Peublo, 82°(f) heading for another blistering hot day of around 105°(f). Just to blooming hot to do anything outside ... thank goodness for the creator of air-conditioning.

I believe on behalf on all mimfers, we´re all quite satisfied that you Master Krummhorn did not turn out to be a fish. However, I do seem to remember an American movie from the past, where the female actress Darryl Hannah acted as a fish with a tail. Her male co-star was Tom Hanks, I assume.

Today, it gets better and better. At nine o´clock the weather looked to be like a day inside with lots of warm tea and crackers. But now, the sun has won the fight against the clouds, which have retired.

But temps. are not that high. 13 C and an almost cloudless sky.

Madisonville, itself has cooled down a bit. It's 74 degrees and
feels a bit cool even with sunshine. Yes it looks like an early
fall on tap this year even for Kentucky. Arizona can quit stealing
our heat! Just kidding!

Today on this hopeless, hopeless Monday morning, where we´re all back to work, the weather fits the profile. It´s greyish, dull, next to no winds and the temps. 17 C. In short nothing to brag about.
