Praise the weather gods ... We are finally into normal Fall weather ... 86°F right now at 5:30pm. Absolutely delightful. Expecting rain by mid-week ... who knows, there might be frost on the pumpkin this month after all .

It's raining so hard I'm on the look out for Noah and his ark! It's really
raining hard enough it looks like a fog. Everything is flooding too and
it makes 62 feel rather cold. It's a good thing I took care of business
yesterday while the sun was shining. It was really cold sunday at
the picnic and it looked all day like rain.

Margaret, down here it's been drizzle mizzle pizzle all bluddy day, and supposedly much more to come. Wind is playing havoc with the roses too. I'm not happy (and before you ask I'm not dozey, sleepy, or any of snow white's other hangers on.)

I'm loving this weather. 15C right now and rain. This week is a roller coaster with one day of rain followed by sun/cloud mix and should continue all week. At least the holiday weekend is looking good. The heated mattress pad will be making an appearance soon, though.

The town that I live in is famous for having "Four Seasons in a Day". This is true to the point of Winter being warmer than Spring for about a month, rain clouds forming in a matter of minutes, and being able to walk across the city; rain in one part, sun in the other.

Yesterday there was a thin film of ice in the bird bath. Today again the early morn temp here in the burbs is just a whisker below freezing. There are reports of some very light snow falling nearby. Hmmmm, perhaps I should get the snow shovel out. I still remember one year (a long time ago) when we got about eight inches of snow on October 15th. Time to put the snow tires on? Nah - too early. I HOPE! At least I got the garden patch cleaned up on time this year.

ATB!

PS My friendly backyard raccoons are all fat and sassy and ready for winter.

;-)

Well, sad to say, our Winter lasted for one week ... it got down to 83°F. We are headed back up to the middle to high 90's <again> and lots of [stupid] [] sunshine on the way.

At nearly 6pm it is 84°F.

It's been raining all day here. It's 3*C right now. It's also been snowing in other parts of the country, which is quite unusual for October...

I've seen it snow here in October close to halloween. So far october
has been wet. I wished it would dry up for a while. Everything is
flooded where it's low. Here it's 51 degrees and cold.

No snow on the ground in the Montreal area - yet. Temps range between +10 to -5 more or less over the past few weeks. Today is bright and clear heading for a high about +10. I think we have had less rain this fall than we had during the 'summer'. I'm just wondering when the first heavy snow will hit. Actually what worries me more is ice and freezing rain. We will just have to wait and see. :)
