How's Your Weather?

As always dear sir Corno Dolce

I can only respect you for eating, what the locals in the far Southeast of Asia offered you, it´s called politness not a bahaviour uncommon to you, as it is.

However I imagine that my post on Glenn Miller on another thread did not make an inpact with you, mentioning the time close to 9 in the AM, signaling to you - I am having my ordinary Danish breakfast, two slices of white bread with French Brie cheese and ordinary Danish cheese followed by coffee.

It´s still on the plate, where I left it, to read your detailed post on bugs and maggots including ants of various nationalities, the feeling of having something alive in you belly. Somehow my usual appetite has vanished like thin air.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I endured a blizzard this past weekend. I had a good cry when I thought I
wasn't going to be able to make it to church and they were to have some
thing special. Sunday was cold but I made it by walking on the street instead of the sidewalk. It was past my ankles on the walkway.
Today it's beautiful and almost all of the snow has melted.

Yesterday, I brought my new umbrella to the shopping center - No rain of course.

Today, I didn´t bring the umbrella, and the heavens opened up for the reservoirs of water.

Sometimes though, remembering I´m not a violent guy . However, I do suspect the Danish weather forecast people being bored for having sarcastic :rolleyes: fun with the rest of us at their own convienence: Clouds but no rain to the northern Jutland (where I live) they anticipated this morning. I was soaked, when returning for the shopping center.

No wonder, one has to pass security eqauls Check Point Charly to get into their offices ´.

Hej Intet, we seem to have the same weather guy here, too. They must all be members of the same union .

75 °F today - sunshine - perfect weather for golf, but alas church services today take the priority.

Why don´t you take the service to the open air, then you can play golf while the priest does his sermon, and be back behind the pipes when singing. 75 F, why does it not surpice me dear sir? :):D;)

I believe the weather people in generel throughout the world belong to the same union as the dentists in generel. They both seem to have a sarcastic sadistic gene from birth. We plan our holidays in January according to the weather forecast for July in Denmark. If it is good, we´ll plan stay at home and if it looks to be bad for July, we go abroad and pay heavyly. However when the opposite happens, and we´re abroad on some crowder beach in Spain or Italy and the danes have the hottest summer in decades, then we curse the wether poeple. Like with the dentists. We have to suffer while in the "hot chair", helpless fearing the worst torturing physical agony and afterwards they demand cash money for the scrutinating pain. Weird sadistic occupation.

Today almost a clear blue sky, all the birds are singing, with next to no winds and the SUN (not the English Paper) but the round yellow thing in the sky is up and blessing all the Danes at 08:40 local danish time. The temperature just below 58 F.

The first yellow tulips has broken the surface of the ground in my garden and there are some purple ones too. Let me please stipulate, I am not a psychedelic ill person, like some one here at the MIMF seeing colours that ain´t there, when smoking some bad local iligit tobacco.

It is supposed to be suneshine and 68 degrees. Probably in the seventies
today. I like to burned up yesturday. I'm used to wearing this heavy
jacket and that was a big mistake. I had to stop put down my guitar and
take that jacket off. By the time I walked to the church for my class,
I was sweating instead of freezing. I'm glad it's warming up.:)

On this monday at 10:40 AM sunny all over with a few white clouds and a cold wind to remind us, that we do not decide for the Danish weather. The temperature has decreased since yesterday to 36 F at the same time of the day.

Over the weekend and today we got Denmark's prior weather - cold, windy and rain ... like to froze last night when we left the concert hall and the subsequent 5 block walk to the public parking garage.

Intet-at-tabe,
Tulips in bloom ... that's got to be a wonderful sight. Haven't seen tulips in bloom since I moved from Washington state in 1981.

Master Krummhorn

It´s been a few days since my entry about the tulips, you should see my garden now? All flowers in bloom in various colours. The dafodils are breaking the surface and in two or three days the will "shine". All different colours from the colour of grass. Yesterday it was quite cold and with the wind from the north, but the weather forecast for today is some sun, no winds, cloudy but temperatures around 62 F.

We went on a walk in the near by small forest yesterday, and all the trees are about to unfold with new leaves, which mean that in a few days you won´t be able to see the sky from all them trees, wild flowers everywhere on the ground and birds singing from the early morning. We even saw a squirrel and three deer eating quietly, but alert all the time some 120 feet from us.

Unlike in the USA, we don´t have any animal predators in Denmark, except the fox, if you can call the fox a predator. No mountain lions, no wolves, no Grizzly bears, no aligators or crocks, no cheetahs, no lions or tigers or rhinos. Not even a scorpion or a black spider. The most deadly predators in Denmark are the rats, which seem to increase in numbers in the big cities down the suer systems, because of tons of human food thrown out to the garbage. They breed like rats, as you know.

Hi intet-at-tabe,

Ohh, you are making me wish all the more I was there in Denmark this time of the year ... absolutely love the green forests ... I envy you in that respect, but alas, I am here and cannot do much about that this late in life. I love our home - we have a few wildflowers along with two bougainvillea's that will be blooming in a couple months. It's a "townhome", meaning that it is connected to other dwelling units, but all have their own private backyards. Eventually I'll post some pics in the gallery here - after Easter when there is more time.

Nothing is blooming in Kentucky yet. Only the grass is begining to turn
a pretty green and the trees are begining to bud. This is unusual for
Kentucky not have at least daffidils in the middle of March. Right now
it's windy and cold with rain in the forecast. Brrr!:(

Feels very cold today, went out and it hailed as I walked back.
The weather people tell us it is going to be a snowy Easter.

But whatever the weather, a very happy Easter to one and all.

My area is under a flashflood watch and the weather siren just went
off! I hope we are not into some severe thunderstorm warning!
I would like to make it to church tonight if I have to swim to it!
Right now it's 44 degrees right now after enjoying 70 degree weather.
That's kentucky for you.
