How's Your Weather?

. . . It is a bit unusual, April is known for it's showers. But we don't often have hail storms, and not the little bit of thunder and lightning we have had today. Is this global warming? (HaHa)Margaret

Hi Margaret,

Sure sound like it ... seems the last couple years have some places on the globe some unusual weather, yet left other areas unaffected.

I'm also thinking that the human race (as a whole) is introducing different kinds of pollution than we have ever seen before. I just don't fathom that all these weather related issues are a direct result of the polar caps decreasing in size.

But, things that they are, guess we are destined to ride out the storm(s).

Hi Krummhorn

I think you are right.

The trouble is one minute I hear someone saying it is because of global warming, them next time someone else has a completely different view.

There are all sorts of pollutants around now.

Mind you at least London doesn't have the pea soup fogs it used to.

I tend to take what I hear with a pinch of salt, until I can be sure of the facts.

Today so far, a slight breeze with a touch of sunshine. If that changes I will report.

Yikes, the winds kicked up today ... not stormy winds, but enough to make my allergies go bonkers. The rest of the household is down with the flu - just getting over that myself and don't want it back.

Margaret,
Thanks for the response - I too take what I hear with a grain of salt, too ... so many theories exist today it's hard to sort out which ones are "hype" and which ones are factual. I've also heard the story about the 500 year cycle, and that this same type of weather changes were occurring then, too.

The wind is howling again today and at fifty it still feel cold. Yesterday
I had on the air conditioner and today I have the heat on. It's Dogwood
season again I see one blooming. It gets cold when they bloom here.

Well after the breeze and sunshine, April showers kicked in. Then the sun came back. it is very unpredictable at the moment.

Krummhorn, I am sorry you have all had the flu, and just what you don't want is allergies on top.

Here's to good weather and good health.

Krummhorn! It seems to me as if we are getting the same weather
except over here is colder. It's 43 degrees and dropping. Brrr!:(
Since spring as arrived we only had one week's worth of decent
weather. The rest of this month and last month has been nothing
but ice. This month is rain rain rain. I wished it would dry up for
a while. The next time it comes one of these floods I might have to
go to church in a boat or stay home and listen to the preacher by
radio.

It's a cold and cloudy 39 degrees this morning. Brrr! I'm like the last
one. I can't wait until it's back up in the 70's or 80's. Winter needs
to go take a hike.

Well today is a little cold and dull.

The sky is very dark so, I expect some rain soon.

I was watching the London marathon this morning (on the tv), it absolutely poured down. The poor runners, including a lady who is 80 years old and, a man who still goes to work cleaning cars aged, wait for it....101 years old.

It a very cold 41 degrees right now. I liked to have froze my face off
walking home from church today. This is dogwood season
the reason why it's so cold.

Now they are threatening a freeze and maybe some snow! I can't wait
until it warms up again. It makes me cold thinking about it. Never mind
the warm appartment I now live in. I wished for real that it would warm
up for a while. I know that I was complaining about the heat this last
summer at 105 and cooking. At least I didn't worry about freezing.

I wish we would, too, CT64 ... at least I wouldn't feel so blasted hot in the summer months then ....

We already use the Metric system for our currency, so a conversion to more of a world standard in temperatures should also be the norm here.

There is a no nonsense conversion website here for those who would like to also enter "C" degrees along with their "F" degree postings.
