How's Your Weather?

I can say that I live where it will come an earthquake, tornado, blizzard,
large hail, and occasionally left overs from a hurricane. I guess I can
say Kentucky is usually a receiving state for everybody's left over storms.
Earthquakes are original from the New Madrid fault. San Andras would have
to shake hard enough to tear a hole in California for us to get it. But we
get the storms afterwords from the disturbed atmosphere.

Today is pleasant at 78 degrees and sunshine.

I think the temperature gage is stuck again. It is only 81 degrees and
sunshine. This time last year we had 105 for a high and I think 90 for
the low. It was hot!

Actually, here there's nothing new to report weather-wise; still variable. Not too hot, generally sunny, then clouds roll in, we get thunder and rain, then it clears up and starts all over again.
I think I may as well just keep reposting this same comment; every single day it's been like this, all summer long. Very predictable weather in it's unpredictability... most peeps are calling this summer a write-off. I actually enjoyed the lack of intense summer heat and humidity. Still a few weeks of summer left though.

Blistering hot (over 102°) with relentless humidity levels lately ... and too much stupid sunshine. Even our house central air conditioning system is having a tough time trying to hold internal temperature and sort out all the moisture.

I was dryer in the shower with the water running that it was when I stepped outside yesterday morning.

Give me rain clouds, lightening & thunder ... anything but this endless scorching sunshine.

Currently @ 0345 (MST): 79°, 63% RH, slight breeze out of the SSE at 6 mph.

Well it's a bit breezy here, with only a slight bit of sunshine. We even had a bit of rain earlier on.

Sorry that you are sweltering Krummhorn, I hope it cools down for you.

Me too, Margaret ... and, thanks :tiphat:

I can pretty much tolerate the humidity OR the heat - but not the extreme intensity of both at the same time. The key to survival here is drinking lots of water ... like, double what one would normally drink ... it's the norm here in the high desert.

At 2345 hours (MST), we still have a very violent and fierce lightening/thunder storm overhead. It's about 80°, RH = soaking wet, and who knows which direction the wind is headed. We've lost power once already ... always interesting for that to happen when I'm typing stuff on the computer -.

At 2030 hours, two storms arrived from different directions - this created a huge storm with lots of lightening (flashing bolts every few seconds) and an immense amount of rain in a very short period of time.

Currently clear and 77F w/ 88% RH and 11 mph Northerlies.

Wow Master Krummhorn - that sounds really scary what you're experiencing - storms from two different directions.

Hi CD,

It was ... humbling ... Truly the forces of nature supersede anything else in situations like that. It was beautiful and hauntingly eerie all at the same time. Here in the morning after, everything is beautiful and green ... except for the weeds that are sprouting up faster than rabbits multiply.

Presently, 76°, 71% RH, slight breeze from the WNW @ 1 mph

The weather continues to be delightful here. Today it is a bit cloudy and we had a shower earlier, but the high is around 70 and the evenings/overnights are in the low 60s. Moderate breezes...just enough to make the wind chimes sound lovely.
