How's Your Weather?

When it comes to tires on my car I use BFGoodrich *G-force* low profiles. The tire treads are super-deep, better to whisk away the water with so that one avoids hydroplaning which is a major issue when it rains. Yeah, they cost $180.00 at Costco but the peace of mind plus the excellent performance far out weigh the cost.

The sun is visible between the white cumulus clouds, no winds and the temperature 60 degrees fahrenheit. We might even get snow soon. You never know talking about the weather in Denmark.

Rojo,

Are the winter tires anything like studded tires? Being in a region that gets a few shovel fulls of snow each year, we don't have such a thing here.
Hi Kh,

I don't think anyone uses studded tires here; can't recall ever seeing any. I was reading that they are actually banned in Ontario (our neighbouring province) because they damage the asphalt roads. Winter tires are made of a sort of rubber that stays more malleable and adhesive in colder temperatures, unlike summer tires. And of course the treads are specially designed for increased traction when driving in snow and on ice. And when that doesn't suffice and one gets stuck anyway, well, it's time for thorough shoveling, using salt, sand, traction aids, and/or rocking back and forth to get unstuck! Hopefully I'll have less trouble this winter with actual winter tires.

Ah, the joys of winter.
Hey, I'll trade some of our heat for a few bottles of your 18°C -
Will that offer still be good in, say, January? Of course, you'll get bottled -18 degree instead...

Cool and crisp morning for the first day of fall and still kinda cool and warm
when I got out of church. I wished the church officals would turn the air
up so that it wouldn't be so cold. I almost need a fur coat in that place!:shake::pray:
They still think it's 105 outside! Burr!
