Now all you easterners are going to hate me, but it was pushing 65 today, sunshine and clear in the Southwestern desert. At nearly 6pm it is just below 60 ... sorry :smash:

*shakes fist at Kh* :mad::p

Actually, tbh, can't complain. It's been very mild, with fog. :eek:

Thank you, dear :crazy:
In reality though, our weather out here is boring ... lived in the desert for over 25 years now and the blood has thinned out, so when it's cold I really feel it.

Always thought it would be fun to live where one experiences the true 4 seasons, be snowed in for weeks with plenty of provisions and lots of wood for the fireplace ... enjoying time reading, playing the piano, listening to music. The rest of my family is either in Washington state or Michigan ... they are the lucky ones, but then they probably think I am the lucky one not having to shovel snow just to get to the mailbox. :cool:

Weather Report from Denmark, January 11. The sun according to the weather forecast should have been up today at 9:30 a.m.. However it never seemed to come around. All we saw were clouds hanging low, no winds. Sunset officially, at 4:30 p.m. a half hour ago. So this was the January 11 - nothing to brag about, typical danish winter. Temperatures not below zero, no snow - nothing really to report. They say that more people suffer from winter depression the more north you live, because the lack of light during the day. They could be right according to the faces of people I met walking outside. I hope some of you are blessed with the sun.

Best regards,

I miss living in Uzbekistan - that was a great time and place to experience all 4 seasons and it was simply beautiful!!!! And what I really loved about it is that although it would get pretty cold/hot, it would never go too far - for instance, we never had to showel snow or were unable to stick our nose out during the day in summer, like in Nevada, where its hot and humid like crazy.

Hmmm, when I was in SF in late September it was pretty nice - we took the Cat sailing trip on the bay and were able to enjoy shirt-sleeve comfort - but yes, towards evening it got quite chilly.

its not really cold, per se - its just cold for Californians. But its very boring, mostly the weather is monotone (in the city of San Francisco itself) - its usually very grey and gloomy. Other parts of bay area, for instance Berkeley (which is where I used to live), and more towards south, like San Jose, are actually very sunny and warm.

and yes, occasionally the city spoils us with a one day summer in the middle of the winter, and sometimes the weather is just unpredictable, but for the most part its kind of the same thing - a whole lot of monotony and grey.

I guess what I really mean by the boringness and monotony is the lack of the seasons. Sometimes you cant quite tell a difference between a summer and a winter in here - its just a mix of nice/sunny and cold/grey all year long.

I guess Im just a little picky about things like that cause I got to experience the beauty of having all four seasons. But its much nicer than when I used to live in San Diego, which again, even though it gets cold and rainy there sometimes, for the most part just sunny and warm - boooorrrinng!!!

:)

Stormy! Last night it came a 60mpr wind storm with rain included which
blew my garbage can away!:lol: I know that it's not funny. Someone here
could have gotten hurt. I was scared and had to hide in the closet from
the storm.
