We are under some kind of winter storm watch until Monday. I will keep
you posted on what is to happen. Right now it's cloudy at 43 degrees.

Right now we are under a winter storm warning until monday. It was so cold
this morning walking to church I had to cover my face with my gloved hand.
It was raining mixed with a little sleet and the sleet stung when it hit my
face. Believe me I'm ready to go south for the winter like the birds. I'm
tired of walking in frigid weather going to church. I won't take the bus
because they are always famous for being very late when I need to be on
time for choir.

Rain,freezing rain,sleet,and maybe snow! Yikes! I don't mind snow it is the
other sleet I don't like it's freezing rain that comes down like pellets. For
walking you have to be more careful than a driver or you will fall on your
behind. Try explaining that to the emergency guys when all you wanted
was to get a few groceries but fell and hurt yourself instead.

Crazy weather!

It's raining here now. Two days ago it was -21C, today at the moment it's +4 and climbing. The snow and ice from the last storm is now as slick as a wet bobslead run. HEADS UP - SNOW AND ICE (oops) crashing down off trees, wires and roofs. If the promised quick freeze comes in toinght it ought to be real fun. I can't call this bad weather - but it's hard walking.

The same goes for Kentucky Buch. We are really getting it! It's been
sleeting and raining. Now I looked at the forecast and snow is on it's
way along with some more ice. Anyone willing to go to cancun with me?
I know that part of Mexico is still warm. I wished I had the money to
get there but I'm stuck here with the ice and snow.

Since I can hear the little ice pellets hit the window I know it's sleeting.
We are also gonna have some snow with it. The roads are all ready
covered in something that looks like snow. It could be ice since it's
sleeting. I will be glad when this winter storm is over. It's time for
it to warm up some before christmas and then it can snow. Right now
the temps are 22 degrees. Brrr!

Brrrrr, that looks very, very cold Judy. I hope you're keeping warm.

It's a pleasant 17C, heading for a top of 26C, with a thunderstorm predicted for late afternoon.

I wished I was in Australia right now instead of here. You guys are
starting to have summer and all ready I'm sick and tired of winter.
I'm afraid to get out of my apartment because I know there is ice
down there. I don't have the proper snow shoes to wear. I like
getting out and taking a walk even if it is cold. A walk would do me
some good right now but not in this mess.

23 Skidoo! (YIKES)

It's a skating rink outside. Today was nice and clear - and cold. About -8C - but thats not bad if you can dress for it. The icy sidewalks are the scary part. Stephen - your photos make it quite clear. The rain and wind the other night cleared off a lot of the snow - but when the freeze returned we were left with very nasty conditions for walking. (Ice scares me more than snow or cold). Ah well - thats Canada. (Big smile). Judy - not sure of those other places. I'm allergic to huricanes and tornados. Still - I no longer like winter. It's a age thing I guess. :) Hang in there folks.:eek:
