^^ Pepé's awesome.

Temperature in Adelaide, Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, was 41 degrees Celsius. Slept with refrigerated air conditioners on in our bedrooms all night.
Tibian.
So you're saying it's hot?

Tomorrow's forecast here is for -20 Celsius or thereabouts.

I'm not sure which scenario is worse.
Sun and cloud mixed, wind has died down, was some rain in the night.

The last week or so it's been the coldest in this area for some years, plants which have survived outside for 3 maybe 4 years have succumbed, but I suppose I've had my money's worth out of them, and I do have some cuttings to take their place.
Dorsetmike, I get the impression that you're quite the gardener. Am I right?

Hot! Here in the city, it topped at 33.4C mid afternoon, but our outer suburb of Penrith hit just over 43C. That's almost 110F. We have a coolish change underway at the moment with very strong wind. The most vicious gust recorded was 82kmh. There are bushfires on the northern and western outskirts. Let's hope no one is hurt and no homes are lost.

Get your gloves and mittins this time. Right now it's only 8 degrees with a
below zero temps windchill. Burr! I wished I was where it was warm right
now with the sunshine at at least 70 that's just right for my winter.

Here in the Old Pueblo it was in the low 70's earlier. Tonight @ 23,52 hours, it is 52°F, clear and looking for about 73°F by Saturday. Sunday will be even nicer.

for this like you are at the North Pole. Right now it's sunshine at 3 degrees!
Burr! Krummhorn and Corno you can send some of your warm temps this
way. My fridge's freezer is warmer than 8 degrees it's at 29 degrees
probably.

It's warming up!

Currently cloudy-bright, no wind - temp -18C (about 0 in the F scale) - but the forecast says it will be much warmer over the next few days. I have to admit I can't wait. I hate having to lug around all the extra layers of clothing and heavy boots. Then again - I don't know if I could take those very hot humid days in Australia.
