I'm getting tired of local farmers complaining about this early growing season.
We hardly had any winter at all.
Today is warm and overcast, no wind. Ooops! The sun just came out.
That's what typing in a Magle forum can do, influence the global globe.

111°f/43.9°c yesterday ... did have a little thunderstorm activity in the late afternoon, but only enough to make a clean car look dirty, as the storm brought high winds, dust and rain all at the same time.

115°f/46.1°c predicted for today ... this is just plain nuts ... glad to be indoors, and thankful we had new argon glass dual pane windows installed before this heat wave.

It sounds like certain parts of Arizona are like Kuwait in re to temps.


Now its mostly cloudy and breezy @ 17 C.

"Frying pan on steroids" - YEOWZA!!! I don't think I want to be in the same neighborhood - Btw, does one see the asphalt "sweating" in your neck of the woods?

Now its sunny and 26 C here in the city........

It doesn't "sweat" per se ... but once in Lake Havasu City (on the Arizona side of the Colorado River) it was 128° and the soles of my shoes were sticking to the pavement as I walked.

The pavement in Tucson is so old and decrepit (hasn't been maintained/repaired for the last 20 years or so) it's almost like concrete now - still gets hot enough to fry an egg on it though. I stay indoors a lot during the hottest parts of the day - I just don't tolerate the heat very well, nor the 'stupid' sunshine which we have way too much of. :lol:

128 degrees??? Good Lord, that'll get the best of even those who are more or less "in shape".

Now its clear and breezy @ 24 C.
