It's been raining heavily for the past few days. It's a nice break from the heat wave that struck us not long ago.

A lovely day yesterday ending in the high sixties. Beautiful morning but not particularly warm yet. Will it keep it up?

I'll send you some of this heat here. It's going to be in the nineties today with enough humidity to
ring it out like a sponge. Sweat just poured of me yesterday.

It's 'ishly too gosh darn hot here ... so hot you can fry eggs on the sidewalks. 110°F this past Saturday. The only saving grace is that we are in our annual "monsoon season" where the thunderstorms (accompanied by deadly lightening strikes) kick up in the late afternoons, usually accompanied by gusting winds and lots of rain fall within several minutes.

So, we have plenty of heat to spare ... come to Arizona for the summer to thaw out :)

After a global warming heat wave, totally humid, that lasted three days,
there was a non-stop electrical storm, high winds, and a tornado near St. Catharines.
Everyone still says that's better than snow in the winter.

The past 10 days have been hell on earth here in New York: way over ninety with steaming humidity with no respite at all. Did I hear someone say global warming?

A tornado was seen over St. Catharines a few days ago when it was stormy all over.
You might not be able to imagine the close proximities of different weather systems,
here in the Niagara Peninsula.
Welland can be getting it from Lake Erie on one side and Lake Ontario on the other, at the same time.
I saw light grey clouds moving slowly from Lake Erie before I left to come here, a nice sunset,
but new clouds moved in with a tremendous rain for half an hour, now gone and back to the sunset.
