Sounds like bliss, Mike. It's been warm and filthily humid here all day, with a late afternoon thunderstorm just to reinforce the status quo!

Winter has finally arrived in the SW desert - Snow levels down to 4500' (where I live is at about 2650' elevation) - a lovely rain all day yesterday and finally almost freezing cold - gawd, I love this weather ... it's the greatest.

Right now, it's 31°F and clear - looking for a high of 52°F - Right On

Hi Judy,

Yah - 71° is nice. Just use long lines when fishing as the critters are near the bottom trying to keep warm

Presently in the Old Pueblo, it's 44°F and is supposed to be 66°F on Sunday afternoon.

Now we are under a bad thunder storm watch and I saw the radar. It's
coming with bullets! There will be strong winds with it too. I hope it's
not too bad. Right now the temps are still 71 and I'm burning up. I need
to go to the housing authority and tell them about it. I need some air.
I don't know what the temp is in here where I'm sitting but I'm roasting.
It's time for me to batten down the hatches and get ready.

Another bright but cold day, cars parked in the shade still have a coat of white hoar frost. I'm not going anywhere!!
Don't want one of these!

Just drink plenty of orange juice and you will be find. Just take some
coffee or hot chocolate with you when you venture out. Here it's
sunshine close to the 40 mark degrees.

It's 24C and, thank goodness, the humidity level has dropped to 65 per cent. I could have sworn it was about 500 per cent yesterday. This time of year we all say "damn the drought" and take lots of cool showers.

Cold grey and dismal here today, must get another heater to keep me right side warm, the radiator only cooks the left.

I think we should split this thread into northern and southern hemisphere sections, then you antipodeans wouldn't keep annoying us with reports of high temperatures when we are freeezing our bits off:nut::bawl:

I'm presuming they feel the same way when we are roasting during our summers ...

Now Mike, you're only encouraging more regular posts from Down Under! ;);)

Would it help you to know that the warm temperatures are accompanied by killer humidity? Imagine breathing through a warm, wet flannel.

I once sent the lovely Margaret a virtual 10 degrees C, so here's another 10 for you!

Oh, and it's just under 20C here at 8.00ish in the morning, heading for a top of 29.

Aloha Vicki,

You are really funny :D:D:D I know many Britishers who have grown sick and tired of the winter weather and decided to ply the air/waters until they arrived in Oz or Kiwiland.

Currently partly cloudy and 20C w/ 70% RH and NW'erlies @ 7m/sec.

Vicki, I remember high humidity very well from time spent in Singapore and Malaysia when I was serving with the Royal Air force (1960s, it was better than working for a living in those days)

Cheers MIKE
