Hi Judy,

Because of diabetes, my daily breakfast during the week is an 8 oz chocolate Glucerna shake. That carries my hunger pangs until lunch, which is my main meal of the day. It's better to eat bigger meals in mid-day as opposed to dining heavily in the evenings.

Only on Saturday mornings do I indulge myself and make ham & cheese omelets.

My breakfast is almost always a bowl of cereal; half spoon-size shredded wheat, and half honey nut cheerios. And I pour 1% milk on it.

haha, so much for Corno's suggestion ;), which by the way sounds heavenly!

Muza dear :tiphat:

I agree with you about the suggestion of sir Corno Dolce, the incredible breakfast mixture. It would be AWESOME having this breakfast served to you. However, if one should prepare it every morning youself you would never be able to meet at the job on time.

Personally, I would find it hard to imagine, why going to the job at all? when life can be that beautiful in the morning with such a RICH in every way breakfast, of course here served by the master of all kitchens and lists of litterature, my dear friend sir Corno Dolce. However, to even think that this feast could replace coffee??

The woman, he will soon marry will benefit from his skills, also in the mornings. Lucky lady.

yes, thats my only problem with this breakfast - I am too lazy and/or sleepy to prepare this in the morning, especially when I have to go to work. I dont leave myself enough time to do makeup, let alone eat and prepare any breakfast . having this served to me at work though - i would sure go for that :D. a bowl of fresh fruits and green tea...yummmmmo!!!

I just fixed something that was really good. I fix my own version of
beef hash. I take two hamburger patties and chop them up while
cooking take out of the skillet and drain the grease but leave only
about two tablespoons full for the onions and potatoes. After the
onion and potatoes are begining to get tender add the meat and
season it all with some taco seasoning and add a bell pepper to
give it a mexican taste. Then add two tablespoons of salsa of choice
to the ingredients and Bon appitico! This dish is heavenly!

For breakfast I enjoy some yogurt and a fresh muffin and coffee or tea most mornings. The other day I made some fresh jam with raspberries and blueberries. It is delicious with fresh crescents. When it is cold outside I really like to have farina or oatmeal.

Going out for breakfast is a real treat for us and I always "pig out" and have eggs, potatoes, fruit and breakfast meats and a buckwheat crepe. "Cora's" in Montreal has the best breakfasts I have found to date, with fruit expertly displayed by sous chefs. It looks so good it's almost a shame to eat it. But then reality sets in and the gastronomic delight begins. :)

Sushi's wonderful, but I can understand people's hesitate to embrace it. I've gotten quite used to raw rish (in sashmini and sushi) but I'm very carefull to smell it before I eat.

The reason why I would be afraid of sushi is that I got food poisoning
on fish. Some of the restaurants here used to not be very clean.
I was sick as a dog for three days after eating fish at a Druther's
restaurant. I couldn't eat fish for a long time. Many more got sick
after eating their fish. Back then you ate at your on risk. I won't eat
at any of the restaurants here except a Mexican one that's owned by a
nice family from Mexico. I even use them as guinea pigs with my bad
spanish. The waiter just looks back at me with a grin and laughs.

Oh CT64,

You ARE naughty - the Japanese pufferfish(Fugu)is the species that will cause you an untimely demise. Sometimes even when an expert chef cuts up the fish there is a trace of the Tetrodotoxin left in the meat and it will give you heart palpitations. :scold::shake:

I love beets, they're so earthy and sweet. Cheese is way up on my favs list, as is pasta and bread (fresh baked).

My all time favorite is dumplings (like spaetzle)...my grandmother used to make chicken paprikash - yummmmmy!

Least favorite: that's hard as the older I get I find myself enjoying things I used to detest.
