Yes, I love beetroot, and I love sweetcorn. I do not like blackcurrants, just the smell makes me feel ill.

My least favourite foods are: (in no particular order) kidney, tripe, liver ... erk.

I'll second that list, CT64 ... and add Menudo, a popular soup here with something that used to live under a rock at the bottom of the ocean ...

Among my favorite dishes are lasagna and steaks.  Least favorites would be any type of liver dish or beef and vegetable stews and pot roast. :scold:

I hear THAT.
(With, of course, the understanding that it takes a pretty deft hand to do Lasagna correctly.):)

Steak, of course, could be the subject of a thread all its own!! I've been to my share of steak-places- Shula's in Florida, Barberian's in the Toronto area, Blackie's House of Beef in Washington, D.C., Gallagher's in New York, The Palm in the Bellevue in Philadelphia, and Morton's (no, not A Morton's, but THE Morton's- the one on North State Street in Chicago- the one that started it all)- but the most memorable steak-meal I was ever served came from Chicago Chop House.:D

I envy you, brother. And you are absolutely right about doing the pasta right, otherwise, it can be a bloody disaster!

sautee' onion in butter til lightly brown
Slice some hotdogs and fry til brown
add mustard, hotsauce brown sugar~just enough of each :)
add 1 can of baked beans and simmer for about 12-14 minutes.
While simmering open can of brown bread slice to desired thickness
put in oven (325) and toast til crispy around the edges
Take out a slather with butter until the butter drips everywhere then
add a little more butter.

Make sure no one else is home so you don't have to share ~ :D
Open a can or bottle of your favorite root beer and enjoy!!!!

Best Sat night meal or anyday for that matter......

Hi Hawk,

I would love to be your doctor ;):D - With those foods you described - Mmmm - lots of build-up on your artery walls...

Best,

CD :tiphat::tiphat::tiphat::tiphat::tiphat:

These days I find myself hankering for the delicious Shashlik that is made by chefs from Uzbekistan - There is a restaurant about 5 kilometers from my doorstep located on Sergei Radonezhskii Boulevard, entitled "Alaiskii Bazaar" - Its an Uzbek restaurant.

What arteries???? Actually I didn't know opening a can or bottle could be detrimental to ones arteries. Guess I best have someone else open for me ~:D

I still have plenty left over from yesterday. I also love the
real Kentucky fried chicken cooked at home since Ky. is my
home anyway. I will take chicken wings and fry them with
a batter I put together. Yum! KFC can't hold a candle with
my home fried chicken.
