Global Warming? Any info welcomed!

Aloha sunwaiter,

Lets step outside the bubble of media articles briefly and independently think about land-mass that has been frozen and under ice e.g. in Russia. So, if there is an increase in earth temperature, think about the thawed land-mass which can now be used in the production of wheat and grains and other foodstuffs to feed the world's starving population.

Just a thought...

at the beginning of the seventies, a part of the scientific "community" thought we were entering another ice age. then we knew unprecedented (in modern times of course) heatwaves in france, for example august 1974. the most recent that killed thousands of people was in 2003. five years ago... i did not study the other countries worldwide. not much time for now. i promise i will try not to be too franco-centric in the future.

once more i'd like to stress that we have to think long term. that's why i find the russia issue very interesting.

NOT sure at all ;) i'll be thinking. you too i hope!

2003 in france. sorry it's a french page, but figures are quite universal

Snow in Las Vegas and New Orleans, tsunamis, horrendous floods all over, more active hurricane seasons, melting glaciers. How can there be ANY doubt?

Aloha GC,

Hey dude, what can I say - I am provided such *Comic Relief* by my colleague sunwaiter :D:D:D

I have just got to pass on the holiday cheer :lol::lol:

Ps. The incoming administration has appointed an Environment Czar - Expect to hear more Global Warming Hooey for the next eight years.

Pps. The use of the word *Czar* denotes an autocratic ruling style - far removed from that of true democracy.

Aloha GC,

Why thank you for your kind words. I feel somewhat undeserving of them. My greatest joy is that I just want to share with everyone. Yes, my postings can be baffling and very wide-ranging, with sometimes an overload of info that probably cause some to wretch - But it is in the spirit of love that I share, and have no intent of harming a hair on anyone's head.

Humbly,

Corno, bruddah,i believed in your ability to take your time to consider other's people arguments, accepting that they can be misled, and that you ALSO can be misled. as a science follower, you should know being SURE is a non-scientific attitude. by the way, what was so comic about my posts? to laugh alone is less funny than sharing a good moment with a friend.

if you are SURE there is no global warming, please try at least to have a global view.

Interesting conversation. There is no doubt in my mind that the climate change issue is being manipulated by political and unaccountable elites worldwide.

I would point you to a Youtube video but it has been deleted. How about this, for example -

http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cach...iety+new+world+order&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk

The new great diversion. Communal action against climate change when, in plain fact, such action needs to be taken against elitist big business. The Fabian Society is quietly providing and encouraging this new 'globalist climate agenda'. So too Al Gore etc. in the USA. You will see this mentioned about 5 minutes in to the video.

Regards

Aloha sunwaiter,

You might recall in a previous posting that I mentioned Russia and that the permafrost melting was releasing more arable land for providing food grains for the world's hungry. I very much take a global view as opposed to that you think that I only consider situations north of the equator. Please remember that I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

All of this nonsense about the ocean levels rising has been for naught. A favorite tactic of the environazis was the alarmist banter in regards to CO2 levels. The *greenhouse gas* scare has been quietly removed. Guess what, water vapor is a *greenhouse gas*! As the sun evaporates the worlds oceans or lakes and rivers, *greenhouse gas* is released into the atmosphere.

All that moisture-laden air will fall as precipitation when the air currents are forced to rise over mountains, condense and form clouds that release rain or when low pressure systems clash with high pressure system or when the proverbial stroke of a butterfly's wing in Africa causes destructive Typhoons/Hurricanes on the East Coast and Gulf Coast of America.

As our brilliant colleague Robert Newman has presciently pointed out, Nature restores itself - sometimes extremely and violently so.

Best Regards,

CD :):):)

For now, the sun isn't doing it's usual solar cleansing with it's storms. Right
now it's quiet and the earth is for the moment chilling out. You notice that
where I live now the temps are at 11 degrees F. If there is globel warming
where is it now?

Aloha Ms. Judy,

The kind of storms that take place on the Sun and those we experience on earth are vastly different.

The climatic changes seem to have happened in the human history, and they had for sure nothing to do with the activity of us people.

The following is taken from the book Das Mittelalter ( The Middle Ages ) of Kay Peter Jankrift :

"...the period 1300 - 1700 is also known as the "small ice age". In 1306 and once again in 1306/1307 the Nord Sea was frozen. In June 1318, the snowfall in Cologne was registered. In some highlands the agriculture became no more possible, many villages and the whole regions were deserted. There were no techniques which could compensate the loss of yield, and the first concequence was the hunger in Europe. The summer of 1317 was catastrophic because of downpour rains and floods all over Europe. Due to Bad Winsheimer Chronik, "man ate dog, horse and thief from the gallows". The backers, who had bread in their houses, had to protect it with clubs in the hands; the monks of one closter near the town of Braunschweig gave food to app. 400 people daily..."

So our ancestors had it sometimes pretty hard ...Looks like the nature can have the "bigger" warm - cold periods too ?

i believe we've already talked about that "small ice age", and maybe of the opposite, the heat peaks. but thank you for this detailed input. sure must have been something skating on the thames!

Andrew i just realized you visited my myspace page. i did the same with yours, but i still haven't heard the music. i'll do it at home.
