A Nascent Composer's First Try At Scoring To Film

Hi all!

As a theatre organist, I had for years been scoring silent movies on Wurlitzer (and other) pipe organs, but wanted for a long time to try the more legitmate arena of orchestral composing...show me an organist, and I'll show you a frustrated composer!:banghead:

So, I started making short videos on my X-Plane Flight Simulator, and scored them myself using a KORG Triton synth. This was my first try, appropriately called "First Flight," ostensibly depicting a student pilot on his first solo. I did this a year ago, and it's still one of my sentimental favorites, even though I made it long before I aquired QuickTime 7 Pro, so the compression renders the picture rather smaller than I would have liked. The sound is good, though.

I do hope you enjoy it.

Nicely done!
I'm trying to do the same sort of thing, though not as well equipped as you. I think your aerial part came off best. You're capturing the mood visually and matching it well musically. How are you recording the music and what video software are you using?
