May Surprise Work Of The Month

Yes, it`s finally that time again! Pick the composer whose work you think you might like to hear the most, and then I`ll post a video of a work (which will be a surprise) by the composer with the most votes at poll closing time. Then we can all discuss the work at length.

    This month, the Classical period!

My apologies to Herr Gluck; in my haste to get the poll posted within the five minute limit, I spelled his name wrong. It should read Christoph Willibald (von) Gluck.

And thus it`s a landslide victory for Beethoven!

Thanks to all who cast a vote; much appreciated.

So, as promised, here is the Beethoven work. There were many fine works to choose from; I finally settled on this one-
The Alban Berg Quartet playing Beethoven`s String Quartet Op.18 No.1, 1st mvt. Hope you like it!
