Hey guys, i started a new tune. Pretty different from my usual stuff, nothing orchestral this time.
Now its more retroish. I guess. C64-style. Not sure what genre this tune would fit in, since i dont make music for genres, i make music for fun :D

Anyways, here it is: http://www.freds3d.com/wip/waowee-02b.mp3

Crits and comments are invited for dinner!

Hey Frederik,

Som very decent electronica indeed.
The C64/Amiga sound is actually quite popular at the moment in the electronica underground, there is a band here in Denmark specializing in this sound are they are quite popular as well.

Actually there is a compilation CD collection for this kind of "game music", it's called Infinite Game Music. So far it has been released in eight volumes. If you are serious about composing this type of music you should try to get some of it on this compilation :)

Yup; some funky electronica there Frederik. Good work! :)

I don't know much about electronica, but I think this would be good for dancing...

Now where's that dinner?

Cool sound, while being "in thread" with the retro-style you've described, I believe that the C64 only had 3 sound processors (the Amiga had 4?!) - so... well... It must be a cluster of C64... and how cool is that!! :D
Maybe an more compressed drum/percussive sound, would give more room to the theme/solo voices? And maybe a little more evenness in the reverb - some of your solo voices are more or less without reverb while the harpsichord is reverberating away? The dry sound here is maybe the way to go?
So far so good... what's next? :)
