Hello fellow music lovers!

I am 52, have been a music lover most of my life and am a fan of movie soundtracks particularly those that are primarily new compositions (I loved Miracle by Mark Isham). I generally prefer movie scores over the soundtracks that have taken a song from here, a song from there etc. Generally enjoy most classical pieces although not all and have discovered I really enjoy jazz, blues, gospel, new age etc. I guess you could say I enjoy it all with the exception of heavy metal and rap or hip/hop. Enjoy some bluegrass, quite a bit of country which I think is required since I live in Kentucky.

My ex called my profession - "professional lie detector." Truth is that I am a lowly auditor and music helps me unwind on the way to and from work.

I am happy to find this forum. :)

Hello Fellow Music Lovers

Hi, leedeb, welcome to this wonderful, relaxing, "intelligent and sometimes smart" forum! :) I, too, agree with you on movie scores vs. sound tracks. I love Mark Isham's music, too! And Krummhorn, I'm with you there on Kentucky bluegrass for sure. Well, enjoy and unwind, leedeb. Susanne

Hello!

Hello! This is methodist girl from madisonville, Ky. I also happen to
be a kentucky girl. I wonder what church you go to. The Methodist
church here had a wednesday night live this week and will for the rest
of the fall season up to late spring. I would like to invite you to come.
There will also be a dinner before the classes start. What musical
instruments do you play. I can play anything except drums. I'm a little
challenged on the drums but I love music. Yes like all of us kentuckians
we have to like country a little bit. My favorite is bluegrass because of
it's wholesomeness. I came from a town famous for the Happy Goodmans
and Dottie Rambo's music. My most favorite is contemp and southern
gospel music.
