Jealousy Yehudi Menuhin with Stephane Grappelli Aa amazing pairing with two very different styles complementing each other. A joy to listen to.

teddy
Have you heard Grappelli playing with Nigel Kennedy?

Colin, sounds interesting. Do you have a link please as I can not find anything on youtube?

teddy

Teddy as you know our Nigel studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School where he first met Grappelli, Nigel was also pretty close to Menuhin at this time he later went to Juilliard School in NY, he visited and played quite a bit with Grappelli over the years which for some reason upset Menuhin and they had a bit of a disagreement.
I heard them play together on TV quite a while ago, I don’t know if anyone has posted on youtube,
this link give a good account of Kennedy and Grappelli.

Thanks Colin. Most interesting.

Dutch Swing Colledge Band
Laid back dixieland recorded in 2000. 20 tracks each one as good as the last. Not the biggest fan of Dixieland but this one gets my vote.

Red Nichols and his Five Pennies
I have to admit that I do enjoy the sound of the human voice even if it is only scat. After 26, admittedly very food tracks I crave vocals.

Wow. That sounds like a very good price, indeed.
