Hello Intet - Como esta, hermano?

I suppose you know that Google indexes public discussions that takes place in forums like these - it has made life alot easier for Police departments around the world to build up character profiles of everybody so maybe we should tailor the tenor and content of our discussions to reflect the new situation we are in or we all might get a knock on the door at midnight from the boys in blue.

Cheers,

Humano Corno Dolce - privately between the two of us. You passed the zising test. I am honored :clap::clap::wave::wave::wave:.

The expression of yours "new situation we´re in", may apply to you my dear partner born in Sweden. But if you check with the old greeks, you will remember that the expression democracy as a form of expression and tools on how to implement a free society, just another way of legalising freedom of speech, not to say having fun with someone, I admire even as a red neck.

"Things ain´t what they used to be". Check your Jarrett song book.

Back on topic:

Jack Dejohnette from the Standards Trio made a couple of albums in his own name. This one only for you:

"Tin Can Alley", ECM Records 1981 - Mr. Jack DeJohnette (drums, piano, congas, organ, voice and percussion), John Purcell (alto and baritone saxophones, flute), Chico Freeman (tenor saxophone, bass clarinet and flute) and Peter Warren (double bass and cello).

Let´s have continued fun dude!!

Always remember what Charlie Chaplin said: SMILE!!

Best regards,

Corno Dolce

For you not to feel too much homesick, let´s make the first cource north of Østersund, Sweden close to the Polar Circle - Lots of natural unpoluted fresh air, natural surroundings with forests and trees as far as you eyes can see, no poluting CO2 cars on the highways added up with a guarantee to all pupils on the original purpose in this samaritan joint venture attending this deal of weight loss through tapdancing and candle lights Round Midnight to "Tango for Two".

At Østersund, Sweden it´s not a matter on how much food you may eat during 1. part of the course, but eating at all :grin::D:);). Personal experiences, remember??

Survivel of the fittest, if you know what I mean?

Hang in there, you just have to dance and do what you do best, which is equal to how I know you - being intelligent, gently and politely. Trust me Hombre, I am da man.

Best regards from your partner,

Blessed Intet,

At this point in my life I don't suffer from homesickness - the world is my home. Dancing is just a minor hobby for my Lady and I plus we have fun and acknowledge that we are not experts in Dance. The Tango, Waltz and Tapdance are the three forms which we are somewhat adept in and we are happy with that.

Btw, where I live there are not many cars traveling by. Its about five kilometres to the big thoroughfare so we have a peaceful setting and the prevailing winds wisk the bad stuff out over open water.

Humbly,

Corno Dolce - I got your message.

We have a renaissance in Denmark, I guess it´s a hit in the entire western world these years in dancing. with Big Bands playing dancing music. It´s become hot again for couples to dance - to feel good, some people even say it improves the relations in a marriage. I remember, I was quite good (perhaps a bit exaggerated) in Waltz, Quick Step, Tango, Twist and Rhumba back in the day.

I can only agree with you in your estiments saying if you haven´t tango, you haven´t lived. But Tango aside from other dancing styles, the tango demands for the man to be macho, to lead the lady. Of course you do this in other dancing as well, but especially the Tango. It´s a very macho dance, highly sensual. Some call it the foreplay to a intimate relation. The lady in Tango follow the man like glue, expressing everything we adress or take for feminin.

There´s a lot of south american/spanish blood, pride and traditions in the Tango. In a way like a bull fighter in his slimlined expensive looking clothes, who also appears very macho, whose movements in the arena 100 % perfected equals the movements of a couple dancing Tango. Highly sensual and expressive - the GRAND show.

So Don´t worry, Be happy :grin: my friend that you and the Lady of Guinewere share this talent and having fun on the dance floor. Dancing is like singing and creating music. It makes you feel good - and you smile, which means it´s healthy for the body and for the mind as well.

I know you´re happy and proud of how you managed in life without being arrogant and we both know there´s not a lot of speeding cars around where you live :grin: - so far :grin: ?. You´re a intelligent man, a gifted and friendly guy which you have already shown me. You show it here at the MIMF too, you embrace every one, and you´re abowe all a jazzer and love The Standards Trio like I do (makes you one of the good guys :grin: in my book) - even if you´re an out back redneck :grin::cool::cool:.

So for Jazz today, alowe me to comfort you with "The Essentials", the double CD album by George Benson (guitars), Sony/BMG Records 2006. The album represents a journey through the musical career of George Benson from jazz, beginning with the Jack McDuff (organ) Quartet back in the late 1960´s, through songs like "So What" and "Summertime" playing with the Miles Davis Band in the beginning of the 1970´s to "California Dreaming" by The Mama´s and The Papa´s, crossing back tio the Jazz standard "Take Five", by the Dave Brubeck Quartet to the ecredible live performance on "On Broadway", finishing with "Give Me The Night" and "Gotham City", known from the movies. 21 songs with an incredible guitarist with an incredible career.

Best regards and thank you for helping me on PM.
I salute you dear sir - man of the world from Oceania.

Dearest Intet,

You do me such great honor but yet I don't feel like I'm deserving of it. There are countless others who far outstrip me in terms of musical, dance, cooking, fine art and countless other disciplines. The little I know is what compels me to want to help others.

My lady and I had the good fortune of studying the Tango with a couple from Argentina. They resolutely denied that the man is the 'macho' stereotype in Tango - yes, he leads but is mindful of treating the woman as a co-equal, not as a side of meat. They exclaimed: "The pair in Tango are engaged in writing poetry with their bodies".

Back on topic: "The Best Of The West" by Charlie Haden.

Be assured on one thing laddy (since you´re younger than me - No respect for the elder (LOL). I will never enter you or suggest you for the Noble Peace Prize having to argue with you, on how I feel about you!!!

Which equals how most people on other threads feel about you. As they say over the pond, - Take it or leave it, you can´t change my impression.

Todays afternoon jazz is the song "My way", composed by Paul Anka, sung by Frank Sinatra accompained by the Nelson Ridlde Orchestra, simplified by Corno Dolce in his life, his way - That`s jaaaazz.

Best regards,

Dear Intet,

Flattery will get you everywhere :):):):D:D:D:grin::grin::grin::lol::lol::lol:
Thank God you won't nor anybody else will ever nominate me for the Nobel Peace Prize. Imho it is worth less than the paper it is printed on. Now, the Nobel Prize which is awarded in Stockholm for various fields of research and scholarship - now thats a Prize worth something. I never understood why Master Nobel directed that Norway should parcel out the Peace Prize.

Like an old lawyer joke say: "What´s a good beginning - 500 lawyers in handcoughs chainged to eachother on the bottom of the sea." It has my addmost full agreement. Whether he loses or benefits on my account I have to pay, pay and then pay...

Dear Intet,

The phraseology I used with flattery is but a quite common euphemism "over here". What are you doing still feeding a lawyer thousands of Danish kroner? Or maybe this is an inside joke, eh?:lol::lol:

I received an email from a Norwegian acquaintance in which she said: "Maybe Sir Alfred Nobel felt sorry for the Norwegians and that he wanted to provide some limelight which they could then bask in".

Maybe this was her critique of Norway's leftist propaganda and the leftists who overpopulate the selection committee for the Peace Prize.

Cheers,

I couldn´t agree more with you around the Nobel Peace Prize in particular the Commitee behind it.

About flattery :grin:, I know dear sir you have this euphemism over the pond. I laughed out loud behind my PC, when I read your post "Flattery will get you everywhere":grin::grin::grin::grin:. The fun part is that the euphemism often is the contradiction: "Flattery won´t get you anywhere" in my country.

About the lawyer. I´ll send you a PM.

The jazz for this rainy morning January 25 is the album "The Sequel" by the danish/vietnamese double bass player Chris Minh Doky feat. his brother Niels Lan Doky (piano) Bill Evans (tenor and soprano saxophones), Ulf Wakenius (swedish guitarist) and finally Adam Nussbaum (drums).

Hi Intet,

You mean to tell me that flattery won't get you anywhere in Denmark? Except for maybe a trip to the jail with the Danish Politi...:confused::confused:

No wonder then the Danes use irony in their daily living. :smirk::smirk::smirk:

Yesterday I had a dig around and pulled out an old Ella Fitzgerald record. It still played, and what a delight.

Thanks for the PM. Sometimes when I read your funny posts, I think to myself, this guy most have had personal experiences from Denmark. Of course you have, since you have lived just across Øresund in Sweden. You got it Sir, right on the money.

About the danish Police in generel. Mostly cool calm guys in public office, very polite and friendly most of them. Tough work though, because the entire police force on a national basis are understaffed, which mean for instance, when President George W. Bush from the USA (should you not know :grin::grin::grin: ?) had his birthday here in Copenhagen a couple of years ago, the security had been tightend. Almost at the same time there were huge violent demonstrations on Nørrebro a surburbond to Copenhagen (where there are less than 1 mill. citizens), where violent hooligans from the most of Europe came to Denmark to fight against the police to support the demonstrators wearing hoods, so they are not easily recognized. This means that such two great events, where policemen from all over Denmark travel to Copenhagen to keep things secure and reasonable quiet, remove the local police from other ordinary jobs. Like investigating robberies, assaults, drugs traficing, missing persons, being drunk on the streets, murder investigations etc.etc.

The rules say for the police that working more than the usual hours for policemen, can not be payed in extra salery. They have to be compromised staying away from the work, not being replaced by other policemen. Sort of sparetime for or holidays for criminals to increase criminal affairs. But all in all they seem to manage anyhow, and I don´t think the crime rate moves much to either side in a year.

I know if you give a police officer the "finger" straight up in the air, flattery won´t get you anywhere :grin:;):):D. Irony or rather sarcasm among the danes often used on a daily basis, to keep healthy and with a sound mind. For instance against the danish IRS, whom I have given all my fingers repeatedly for the past 4 years, but then you know why?.

Best regards,
intet-at-tabe

I remember having a recording of stan Getz a number of years back, doing 'Desafinado' and there was a Girl who sang it in portugese. That album had the same girl singing girl from ipanema as well, and it was a sheer joy.

I can't find the album, can't remember what it is called and can't remember the name of the very talented lady who sang so beautifully on it. (shame on me for being so lax)

I'd love to find it again...
