I'd be very surprised if this turned out to be anything other than something just written for this show, for this scene.

That is, outside of this show, I don't think this music has any separate existence.

Hi Sylvan,

Welcome aboard MIMF. As my colleague posted, methinks the music also was just composed for that tv soap. A tip: maybe in the credits trailer after the episode there might be a mentioning of the composer who wrote the background instrumental music.

This is my best guesstimation - maybe some other of my MIMF colleagues have a better grip on the situations with music for tv shows. There are many excellent experts on MIMF. I hope that you may find an answer to the question you posed.

Humbly,

Corno Dolce :tiphat::tiphat::tiphat:

Hi Sylvan,

I quite agree with my forum colleagues above. In the "olden" days of yore, when soaps first hit the TV airwaves, there was a live studio musician playing either the organ or a piano - the music was totally improvised on the spot to match the scene being played, much as in the same way of the silent film era.

I believe in today's soaps, the live paid organist or pianist has been replaced by a sound room technician with musical abilities who plays synthesizers capable of a wide variety of sounds and moods. The only music that remains common to the soaps is what plays during the opening and closing credits - the rest is totally improvised along the way.

When a person improvises, he/she will, at times, take some musical themes that they have heard over the years and blend them into their own works. Finding a real name for any soap piece could be a difficult task ... you may find it best to write to the producers of the show, or as Corno Dolce has pointed out, watch the show credits.

You also might check out this IMDB site and type the name of the soap and check for any entries dealing with music production.

Happy searching ... :cheers:.

Thank you for all your responses, it's appreciated! but If any of you can identify this piece, it's almost certain that it was probably written just for the TV series.

Great day to all !
