Hello all MIMF guitar players!
I've been playing guitar for about 10 years now, learning it by myself.
I'm not fast and I don't know any scales, except the blues scale :)
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ I recommend this site if you need tablatures for songs, they have almost everything.
And lastly I would like to show you a pic of my guitar, it was only 300e here and it's very good guitar for that price in my opinion. It's Gibson ART120 which I have made look better with some tape

Welcome to the forum. Your guitar reminds me of Eddy Van Halen's guitar.
The only difference is your's is black and his was red.

Thanks Judy :) I've been here since 2007 but I'm not that active member here, I'm working on it though  Actually you've commented my songs in the review section before. I've added a song there ;) I can't believe it has 2,465 views

there is a freeware, I used 7-zip the best file compressor...
It's could work with another file extention: rar, zip, tar, you name it...
and it's real free, no trial version

HEy guys

this a great thread, I have played guitar for about 35 years and are still learning every day despite being ( or at least thats what other say ) play very well from acoustic to electric but have a listen if you have a minute www.myspace.com/jaydane.

Advice for newcommers:
Many have asked me if I can teach them to play like me and my reponse is usely a No, I say, I can show what you need to do to be able to do what I do, which is at least 2 hours practice a day for for how ever long it takes, sore fingers and lots of frustration but it will pay of.

When it comes to guitar players who really supplement each other I must draw your attention to K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton from Judas Priest. Man, they can really get each other going. Not trying to take anything away from Iron Maiden, but in my humble opinion K.K. and Glenn are better. At least to my taste.

If you want many good uses out of your guitar with unlimited potential, as in recording or plugging in onstage, please get one with a pickup. I've seen too many guitarists have to switch from old comfortable to new compatible, and it only hurts. As you are U.K. do you look at Gumtree.com for info and sales?

not a bad suggestion. i had to record my guitar with a shure and cope with that while mixing. i achieved some funny or pretty sounds but i couldn't avoid all of the noise. in line recording or playing is better, or at least more convenient.

What kind of Fingerpicks do I use to play Classical Guitar?

I recently bought a set of fingerpicks. Their made of plastic and go under the nail adn curve upwards. I just want to ask if i'm using the right kind, if not, which ones should I use? Playing with these is IMPOSSIBLE!!. My fingers keep slipping past the string on rest strokes and hitting each other instead of the strings. Are their special sets of fingerpicks for classical guitar, cause I have a nail biting habit that prevents me from using my natural nails. Any help would do. Thanks.:(

that advice jesper is absolutely spot on. knowing how to play is a little bit about technique and tips, but the rest is commitment and practice practice practice!

just visited your myspace page. your track 'a new hope remix 2008' is the perfect title for the sound you achieved. keep up the good work!
