Something Wonderful...

That is wonderful picture.

I love the way it unfolded, and I was not sure what would appear.

Thank you for that Corno Dolce

I've not been to Central Australia, but I have been to Broken Hill (google earth Broken Hill if you're not sure where it is: very western edge of New South Wales) and the stars from freezing cold winter night sky there were amazing.

That was a beautiful picture of the night sky. You don't know it but I
used to be an amature astronomer at one time. I had my little telescope
and along with some Astronomy magazines so that I can look at the
heavens. I noticed Taurus and Orion in the picture right off. The picture
you took was a spiral arm of the Milky Way which is our galaxy.

Now that one would make an excellent desktop background.

Always liked the astronomy courses I took in college - we actually had our own planetarium with one of those projectors that could place images on the domed cieling. It was always so fascinating to enjoy then, and even now enjoy looking to the heavens during our cloud free nights of Arizona.

I suppose if I hadn't become a musician, I would have been an astronomer.

I'm glad you took this picture of the night sky. There are some disturbing
things that I'm hearing about the year 2012. Either there will be a desiaster
on the way or something wonderful for us to behold. The american natives
of Mexico and Central America are predicting. The Astezs and the Mayan
actually practiced astronomy as a religious richeral. I can't spell that
right at all! But these people knew their astronomy, math, and science
better than any professer in college. It has me both excited and scared
at the same time. What do you think of it?
