Every year during the summer, Montreal hosts an international fireworks competition.

Last Saturday was Australia's presentation.

Here is a link to the finale: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3fmjAD66v8

It is about 5 minutes long.

The beginning and middle clips are also on youtube and the links can be found, of all places, within the thread about the weather.

I thought it was a fabulous display and hope you guys like it, too.

Gee, in one thread we had "phobias" - now, when seeing GC's avatar I'm thinking "Egyptophiliac"........

Back on topic: Cool fireworks display!

I wished they display fireworks here like that on the forth of July. I sit
and watch these yahoos send them up one at a time dragging for a
long time and I get bored.

Thanks for sharing this, Stephen

Very illuminating display of fireworks, especially the huge red glow at the end.
It was fun to watch in full screen mode

As a Sydneysider, to be quite honest, if I don't see another fireworks display it won't be too soon ... (slightly bitter and twisted I know)

Thanks for the fireworks vids, gc; my favourites are the ones that have a different colour at the ends of their explosions, like at :32 of the second vid in the weather thread (blue at the tips of the white.) The sphere within a sphere effect is cool as well.

CD, you're not far off the mark with that one. You'll see in one of the next threads I start...

Rojo, I quite agree. I thought those with the blue tips were especially cool. And the shapes from hearts to disks, very impressive.
