Yes I read about that cat, how can anybody let a cat get that fat.

You would nedd a big house for this kitty.

Mind you, there was a story in today's paper about a 16 year old girl, who has been told by her doctor to loose 20 stone (280 Pounds) or she will die. This 16 year old girl weighs 33 stone (462 pounds). Now that is absolutely crazy. How could her mother let her get so fat.

Hi Ms. Margaret - I think about that poor girl who Mat posted somewhat recently, stuffing her face with cake - she must have been at least 500 pounds...Lord Have Mercy :eek::eek:

...and what about her other leg? heeheehee.

I hate to admit it but my little sister is diabetic and they told her years ago not to ever get pregnant (think Steel Magnolias) or else... So she had a hysterectomy and wound up with 4 dogs (beagles) and 13 cats! The locals were calling her "the cat lady" and she had to give away 3 of the dogs and most of the cats when she became divorced. Now she has 4 cats and my sister took in two of her cats. Thing is, her cats are ALL as huge as the one in CDs picture. Tsk tsk. She doesn't seem to understand about feeding them only twice a day and only using low calorie dry kibbles.

Even our Catrina, the Russian Blue is a little hefty but that came from eating the kitten chow when he adopted Ramses. Now she is on a diet (much to her dis(meow)may.

Ha Ha Stephen, but it is a shame that animals who after all would probably eat everything put in front of them, are allowed to get too fat.

I think it's disgusting that humans can be so unthinking and cruel in their treatment of animals ... overfeeding the poor thing like that, the Guiness Book of Records removed that from it's list of records fearing an onslaught of fat cats, and rightly so.

I agree, two people over here had their dog taken away from them for cruelty, they way over fed the poor thing..Human beings can choose to over eat, animals get fed so it is the owners responsibility.

I am glad the Guinness Book of Records withdrew that catagory.

yeah - i have a friend who has got cats and they're both getting a little on the hefty side, I darn't say anything to her for fear of being told to mind my business, oh well.

That is diffucult, you don't want to upset your friend but she is doing the pets no favour if they are a little overweight.

I know what you mean. Some animals don't know when to quit. Some will
eat just enough and quit. That is when you need guidence. I had a dog
that was like that. I couldn't keep a dish full in case the dog got a bit
hungry like some people. I had to wait until time to feed it something and
then give so much. Some people are like that and I'm one of them.
I have already gained back what I don't want now. I still could stand to
loose a hundred pounds myself.
