• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

In Honor Of Ms. Margaret...

Dame Margaret,

A peasant is revolting? Well, there's always this to rectify a rebellious peasant - one week in the town square in this and they will evermore be submissive:

Its too easy to lop off their heads - With the stocks there is also a redemptive dynamic. Afterwards, they will still be able to bring income into the Kingdom :grin::grin:

Cheers,

CD :):):)

I remember when some villages would have a fair in the summer, Someone would be put in the stocks and have fruit and veg thrown at them, all to raise money for the local church or charity.

*holds his skirt out, and as daintily as an 18 stone bear can, curtseys politely in Dame Margaret's direction (trying all the time not to topple of his stillettos)*

I don't look good in drag (too big and husky). As to stilettos ... an entertaining idea, but my legs would need WEEKs of shaving (and, likely, some fake tan) before being seen in such monsters.

"> Oh, contrere. Just put on some tights. I mention this only because when I first retired, I spent a year working with a troupe called the Fantasy Follies as an impersonator. I never shaved my legs.

So...now you REALLY have something to talk about!

ROFLOL @ Margaret. Actually-my stage name was Aja Hemmingway; well, maybe you would call that my "alter ego" as my stage name when I act is Paris Troy. Now that I am writing again, my nom de plume is Etienne Chartier. All those aliases, you'd think I was a criminal or something. But many people use a stage name when acting so I decided to "redefine myself"...sorry mom. Actually, she was one of my biggest fans when I was in the troupe and she was even in one show with us. As for my moniker when I write, it is my name in French with my mother's maiden name. Now that we are in Quebec I may even change it legally...once I learn to speak French.

Here's a pic from the show we did that my mom was a "drag queen" with us in. Can you pick her out?

Hint: she's in the middle and NOT sitting on the floor. Her knee replacements wouldn't let her do that too gracefully. The show was at the clubhouse where she used to live and the patrons told us afterwards that "it was the best show they had ever had at their clubhouse." Okay, it's a little weird, but then, so am I.

:)

Stephen honey, for some reason your pictures are not coming up. Most vexing as I'd love to see a raunchier side of you ...
